Perhaps the easiest wheel stand.

I was sitting in class today, watching the clock tick away, while pretending to be in F1 driver and pretending to do the pedals (i do this a lot). When it dawned on me- a classroom desk would make a greaat cockpit. All really that would have to be done is cut some of the desk bit out.

and this is an image with the cut off and maybe minus the basket. What about the seat?

Not sure about this one, go back to day dreaming.... lol

Good luck on finding a good price for one. Not to mention I seen some tables legs get bent from constant use(these things cost $150++++ for a table, basket, and seat!). Money-wise and also not to make it look like a ghetto rig, just make a stand.

Though if I were you I'd replace the seat. Those seats are really bad since they have no upper back support(At least I don't since I'm 6'1").

Or just go old school...

Who here remembers these colonial desks?? ;)

The floor above me at school is filled with rooms and rooms of desks for some reason, it's really strange.

However I agree with the above posts, these things cost much more than they're worth (since it's mostly tax dollars buying them, prices don't have to be competitive :sly: ), you could probably build 3 great rigs for the cost of a desk like that.

I do! We had one of those in school before. That would be annoying too play with a wheel, its too cramp. lol

I graduated highschool in those. Imagine 6 foot tall lugs crammed into those desks - you are correct, no way a wheel fits in there with you

Actually, every couple of years my school gets new desks, I asked the janitor if there were any left, and he gave me one.
