Personal Music Setting

I apologize if this has been asked but I couldn't locate anything that answers this question.

"Why can I not load a custom soundtrack into GT5 when there is an obvious option for it?"

I have done the whole -

Options, Audio, Personal/Custom Music setting and when I go into it all my music appears faded in and won't let me select anything:\. I even set up a play list just for GT5 with the title Gran Turismo from the hundreds of songs I have on my PS3 and it won't let me select it. I am personally not a fan of the soundtrack on GT5 and it is frustrating to no end that I can't get the dang game to let me load my own music.
Any help would be great guys,

P.S: I don't think it has to do with the file type because I use to listen to my music all the time when I played Burnout Paradise. But for the record all my songs (all 300+) are WMA.

As I've got exactly the same Problem...

mate of mine has a great sounding Rock Band. He's given me a CD of their previous studio sessions & I've saved them to my PS3's Hard-drive. :)

Trouble is, I just cannot get GT5 to play these music tracks. :grumpy:👎

In XMB make a playlist then in GT5 select him and select the first song, GT5 start playing all the playlist ramdomly from there.

Personally i make two playlists, one called "race" and other called "menu", you figure that.
 
Like pay2021 said you need to make a playlist for GT5.

Once you have done that go into GT5 and access the Options menu. One row down and to the far right is the audio settings. In that screen you can set the volume controls for race and menu settings. Be forwarned though, the GT5 music will play if you don't select the playlist. Select shuffle if that is your preference. When a race is over you will get the GT5 music in the race results screen.

Use the GT5 manual, they explain it in there too.

I dont have problem to listen music but my song's are in MP3 format :) Guns N' Roses for life <3
 
personal bgm doesnt work online btw, i hope they fix that
 
I also have a rather odd problem. I can select my favorite music etc just fine but everytime i exit a Aspec race the music stops and i have to re-select it again.
