This time around, I ask questions about if you would want to be able to personalize GT4 to your liking. Pick your side and reply at will:

PERSONALIZATION: GOOD IDEA!

Personalizing GT4 would make a rather dull-looking set of menus, options, and music more presentable and interesting. Being able to modify GT4's apperance and menus, much like modifying one's own Desktop on the computer, will make menu-surfing more accessible and unique. Personalizing GT4 will make for a great, unique apperance for everyone. Why be dull?

PERSONALIZATION: BAD IDEA!

John, are you crazy, dude? I don't want to choose how I want my menus and apperances. I couldn't care less about customizing ANYTHING on GT4 to my liking. To Hell with what people think about personalizing GT4 to their liking. Maybe I don't want to personalize things to my liking. The PS2 is not a computer, get your head together, John! What gave you this idea for a thread anyhow?

Well, love the idea or loathe the idea. What do you think?

No. Who cares about something so insignificant as menu colors and the like?

PD, I hope you stuck to fixing the game as opposed to the frilly menu ****.

👍

PD make awesome menus and they also make the best menu music ever.

The end.

I need to go to bed.

I've always been pleased with how the GT games present themselves. No need to improve what's already good enough.

I turn off music altogether personally. In terms of the menus, the HUD, all aspects of the UI really, I think PD has done a good job to provide us with an inclusive, easy and effective UI. Some of the fonts are a bit small on smaller TVs, but there's a solution for that ;) Other than that minor gripe, I think the presentation of the individual centres (Garage, Go Race, GT Auto and so on) are quite sufficient and smoothly refined. I never get confused by menus or obscure options, everything is very smooth and straightforward. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Innovate it if you've got something good to bring to the table, but otherwise, leave it be. I'd rather see another stock UI and save the memory card and game disc space for a few more cars or something.

It doesnt have greater importance, but if they have the resources that could provide personalized menus then why not. I rather be able to personalize the car, not as in those recent "car" movies but more emblems or simple sticker for "Identification" purposes when racing against friends.

Being able to have your name and maybe even a national flag on your quarter panel for each car would kick ass...

I like the idea of customisation, especially with the usage of the PS2HDD. Could make for some good Downloadable 'ART'.

Really like this idea.

As far as menu's, I couldn't care less if I can personalize them, it's all about the racing right?

Well anytime used to creating a system so people could customize the menus is a total waste of time in two ways, towards release dates and time off the actual game and more important things...
