My day at the Petit Le Mans started when we drove over the bridge that is over turn 12, after the chicane. We parked right near the Porsche Lot. There were so many Porsches. 911 RS, Carrea, Turbo, 930's, 944's, 968, 928, 959!!! Also right next to the Porsche Lot there was, would u believe a 1995 Mclaren F1!!!!! It was silver and when i saw it i nearly peed my pants!!! The guy drove up from Flordia!

Back to the race. The 550 Maranello, yes i said 550 Maranello!! Was the loudest car there, its V-12 was so awesome! The 360 Modena, yes i said 360 Modena was also awesome! The Saleen S7R's look soo much better in real life! I got to see the #1 Yellow Audi crash, and the Panoz crash into a Viper GTS-R. The other Panoz hit a Porsche when i was in the Chicane area of the track.

After that there wasnt much action in terms of crashes, but the passing between the 3 remaining Audis was soooo sweet!! Especially when they were in traffic going into the chicane!

I got home bout 30min ago.

I hope the Gulf Audi wins, i love that car and when Johansson was driving it was flying!

The Joest Audi #2 (Red Audi) won the race.

Is that Stefan Johansson, the ex GP driver?

What do the cars sound like?

I mentioned in an earlier post I'd seen the old Group C Le Mans cars in Melbourne over 10 years ago and the sound of the V12 Jaguars was fantastic.

Yes Stefan is an ex GP driver, so is Johnney Herbert and Wallace.

Think Group C but louder! I have heard a Group C Mazda and the 550 was louder!

Man, that sounds like a great time! :) I sure would have loved to see that McLaren F1...it's one supercar that I have never seen before.

Even when I see a picture of a McLaren I just freak out. I read in a magizine that the newest one can accelerate 0-100 in 3.2 seconds. Its top speed is 242 mph. and that the seatbelts are the ones that go across your chest twice. and it is totally street legal. Is the mag wrong?! A McLaren should be the next car of the week!!
