When I was a kid I was a big fan of group B rally racing, and as such, a big fan of the Peugeot 205 T16 and the Ford RS200. I haven’t got any of these cars yet but I’m disappointed since nobody seems interested in them :guilty: . Do they suck so bad in GT4?

Thanks

there not exactly the best cars in the game but if you like them they are good use to you in arcade and even in some races if you get the right setting and mod it a bit

Hiya dolande: I love these cars as well. 👍 I haven't found a use for the Peugeot 205 T16 "Yet" but I've used both versions of the Ford RS200 with great success. I even used the Rallye Version to best the Toyota Minolta at Tsukuba Circuit / Hard. (I could stick with him with the Road Version but just couldn't get around.) The ones I've driven "Overwhelm" all the SPECIAL CONDITION HALLS but perhaps we'll be able to use their potential if/when Online arrives! ...O.G. :D

Hmm, I don't have the Peugeot yet, but I likke the RS200 on tarmac. I used that car in the Stars and Stripes races (American hall) and with a minimal gap I won all these races. I ran the RS200 completely STOCK with Oil change (and no tirechange). If you want a good challenge, try that car in those races! :)

And the Renault 5 Maxi!

No, the Group B cars do NOT suck. A little proper suspension adjustment and you can get them to handle and stick like a pro. Added to this is the Rally versions of each have adjustible downforce without adding a wing, which is always a plus.

If it came down to a battle between the WRC rally cars and the old Group B rally cars, I dunno, it would be close, but I would almost certainly give the older group B's the edge.

Could Burns outpace Gerhardt Berger? I think we all know the answer to that one.

group B rally cars have more power but handle worse then new ones.

But that fact makes (in my opinion) the group B raly cars better. It's more fun to drive them and in some cases they drive harder and if you're good, they even drive better. I used the RS200 rally car in the easy/normal rally in grand canyon. So it's not a bad car (cause I suck at rally races)

alhtough I like the 205 T16 with the huge spoilers more then the other one.

Hi all

The 205 T16 EVO 2 is one of the best cars in the game, not only does it look wicked with its 80's rally style but its also very underated, next time your racing some of your friends, choose the 205 and watch it thrash most skylines, subarus, supra's... evo's. ;)

Hi there

I'm a big fan of Group B (and Group C too, see my username) and have both road and rally versions of the RS200, road and Ev2 rally versions of the 205 T16 and road and rally versions of the Nissan 240RS (yes this is a Group B car, although one of the lesser known and unsuccessful ones due to lack of 4WD.) I also have a Lancia Delta S4 which is my favourite of the Group B cars in the game and in real life.

So far I can say that PD have done a good job of representing the Group B cars, but they havent really captured the sound of them so they sound just like any other generic rally car. Also you are unable to buy a supercharger for the Delta S4, only turbo kits are available, which is a shame because the turbocharged and supercharged engine was what made this car so special.

Right on Group C Fanatic

I am missing the METRO 6r4. Thatis a pretty fun car. engine in the back, 2 time sas wide as normal, just pure fun...

Just got the RS200 last night, and haven't tried it out yet, but I've given the 205 a few laps using the DFP and it's amazing fun to drive. It's a bit wild, and when you spin in it, it has a tendency to do 180 degrees in the blinking of an eye, but it is just too tempting not to floor it in this thing... it is one of my 10 'Favourites', and probably will be for some time... I also got the Lancia Delta S4 last night and although it too is a great car, I actually prefer the 205 over it, which is really saying something.

The S4 is a real handful to drive in real life... the 205 was always much less challenging.
You cant beat the way the S4 looks though, ugly but purposeful!

I love the old group B cars too (see avatar) My first love is for Audi's, anything with a straight 5 is 5exual (see what i did there) I was dissapointed to hear that the sound in game didn't quite capture the 5 cylinder engine properly, great looking car though.

I prefer Pug 205 T16 evo 2 when I'm driving the gravel rally's and RS200 when I have to blast off the competition on tarmac. :dopey: T16 handles better on gravel than tarmac ( on tarmac it spins every time when I try to slow down for corner :( but on gravel it's goob, because you can steer it WITH THROTTLE!! :D ), and RS200 is the other way round ( doesn't turn at all on gravel.. :ouch: but on tarmac it leaves many more powerful cars trailing because it goes thru corners like a Go-Kart 👍 ). both are great cars, but.. I'd still take that little AWD lioncar than that frog-looking RS200.. but, this is only my opinion. and if you want to see more group B cars for sale, go to www.carclassic.com .. There's Audi Quattro S1, Lancia Delta S4, Pug 205 T16, etc etc..
