It was just earlier today when Peugeot released new teaser images with the Fractal concept and now we have fully revealing pictures of the car to share. They show the machine takes the shape of a small roadster, featuring distinctive design influenced by the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo concept.
The Fractal comes with a futuristic interior, equipped with a slim center console with a tablet, controlling the infotainment system and attached buttons for the audio system and the engine start-stop functions.
Being only 3.81 meters long and 1.77 meters wide, the concept from PSA has a very compact size and also boasts a lightweight construction as it tips the scales at just 1,000 kg and benefits from a removable roof. It sits on large 19-inch wheels and has very short front and rear overhangs of 0.52m which according to Peugeot enable the concept to be very easy to maneuver around town. The all-wheel drive Fractal concept also has adjustable air springs which can modify the vehicle's ground clearance between 7 cm and 11 cm.
It adopts an electric powertrain consisting of two 102 PS electric motors mounted on each axle and working together with a 30 kWh battery pack which has enough juice for a maximum range of 450 kilometers. This hardware setup enables a 0-100 km/h run in 6.8 seconds and allows the concept to cover 1,000 meters from a standstill in 28.8 seconds.
Stepping inside the cabin, more than 80% of the trim surface consists of 3D-printed parts and the concept boasts an evolution of the i-Cockpit seen for the first time on the 2010 SR1 concept . It benefits from a head-up display featuring a high-definition holographic screen along with a 45-degree polycarbonate strip that offer additional information.
