I'll do the overall non-music audio in the poll but I'd like to break it down a bit.

Question 1:
Which of the two has the best tire noise?

Question 2:
Which of the two has the better enviorment noises?

Question 3:
Which of the two has the better engine/exhaust noise?

Question 4:
Which of the two has the best car collision noises?

===========================================

I'm going to vote in the overall poll. I've seen the demo of FM2 and I've watched a ton of videos of it to get enough noise to make my decision. I owned a 360 and PGR3 earlier this year so I have played that extensively as well.

My opinion is PGR3 wins here, and it is mostly due to the engine/exhaust noise. Some of the cars just sound real close to the real ones--and I think that is because they actually recorded and digitized the real life counterpart. The high pitched scream from the F430 is intoxicating.

A lot of the audio in PGR sounds inaccurate to me, especially when it came to cars in the "Supercar" category (aka. Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc...) and I was thoroughly displeased with how cloned the sounds were from car to car. Very generic in PGR.

On Forza, the accuracy per car is much higher, in my opinion. Plus, when doing modifications, you can actually tell a difference in exhaust pitch and tone. That's pretty impressive, in my eyes.

From the cars I know in real life that are in Forza 2 I'm going to have to say the sound is very accurate...especially on the C6 Z06. I can't vouch for every car...I mean obliviously if I've never seen a Konigsegg I couldn't say what it sounds like at speed.

One thing that is wrong, but doesn't stop Forza being better is the louder noise when doing a rear-view look on a mid or rear engined car. You wouldn't hear a louder engine note from the front of these cars.

Forza 2 gets my vote due to the fact that it differentiates between intake noise and exhaust noise (compare the normal view and rear-view on a naturally-aspirated car with the top-spec intake), and the fact that the sound changes realistically with upgrades.

They also did a good job in capturing the Carrera GT.

Forza 2!!! PGR3 has good sound but forza's seem more realistic to the specific cars

I think they both have the above statement to be true. Carrera GT sounds better in Forza but the Ferraris sound better in PGR3.
