A week ago, since I loved the Nike One, I decided to contact Phil Frank (@pfd) for asking specifically if he designed it.

His response was surprisingly fast, he replied the following day:

So then, the original designer of the Nike One in the Gran Turismo 4 is not involved on the Nike TWO.

Ask Tinker Hatfield if he is doing the Jordan VGT. He is Jordan's main design artist.

Couldn't contact him. Anyways, I found this article.

At a press meeting today, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi explained that the Air Jordan design studio would be joining major car manufacturers in creating a custom design to appear in upcoming game Vision Gran Turismo. The designer of the famed shoe, Tinker Hatfield, will be providing an original car design for the game.

As for Nike's involvement, though unrelated to the Jordan work, they too will be providing a vehicle design for VGT. Yamauchi reminded that Nike supplied designs for their Nike 1 vehicle in Gran Turismo 4. They'll return in Vision Gran Turismo with its follow-up, the Nike 2.

Right now, the Nike Vision GT (a.k.a. Nike TWO)'s sketch looks like an open-wheeled concept chassis with two wheels shown (it will have four wheels) with a floating rear wing platform. In the Vision GT announce trailer, the Jordan Vision GT looks like a Goteki 45 ship crossed with the 490B from Ridge Racer 7 (or possibly from Zepher in SSGX).

when a car maker or design house does a VGT you expect that they thought about the physical constraints about making such a car

i dont think Nike does that so you end up with a shoe on wheels

better off using a motorcycle or aerospace company (eg. ducati or boeing)

Apart from the list of 20 or so other VGT manufacturers? And clearly you don't know about Nike One:2020.

Puma have designed ships for WipEout Pure and there's a fake render concept car which is said to be designed under Chanel. They're not car brands, but they should join Vision GT one day... Oh, and check this thread out, too.
