i did a search for photograph and didn't find anything other than the mission involving the camera... at the end of that mission it says something about taking pictures around san fierro and i noticed there are lots of cameras laying around, but i haven't been able to get credit for any on the stats page.. anyone know any more about the photographs?

I haven't played much GTA:SA, but I have to say the mini games sound really involved! I'm impressed with R* - they put a lot of effort into their work.

Just loko around with the Camera. There are little (purple, I think) icons that have a picture of a camera on them. Take a picture of these. Those are the Snapshots. They are only in San Fierro I believe.

yeah, they are only in san fierro.. are the little icons on the map? because i'm usually pretty observant as far as stuff like that goes and i haven't noticed them... although some of the icons blend in pretty well with stuff on the map and that may be the case

edit: somehow i left out a few words and it didn't really make sense :) all fixed

They're not on the in-game map. They're another thing to collect, just like tags, oysters, horseshoes. When you find a camera, there's probably one nearby. For example, there's a camera in the train station and an icon spinning way up above the tracks...

so they are on the map in the pause menu? or just in the actual game? in a few of the spots where there are cameras i have looked all around and haven't been able to find anything....

In the actual game, not on the Map. They're hard to spot, like the Oysters, Horseshoes, etc. But just zoom around with the camera. I found 1 by accident. Go across to the little area north of the Windy Hill Road save house. There is a place where 2 cars usually park. Look East, and zoom left of the building directly East. Look around in the air, and you'll find one.

i've always liked the collectible type things, so i tend to be on the lookout for stuff like that more than most.. i guess i'll just have to look harder.....

Yeah, I can't tell you much as I've only seen 1, and I haven't noticed anyone on GTP discussing it, who have actually done a fair few. So for now, just look around. Keep a Camera on you and occasionally take a hard look around. Zoom in and out constantly, as you could easily come across one and not notice it. Good luck. 👍

They are pretty hard to spot mainly because they are outside your normal line of sight-- all the ones I've found are off the ground (usually right above stuff--I've found 8 or 9) -- I think I need to get my Jet pack and fly around above stuff--probably alot easier to spot them

I used the jet pack in LV and found about 1/3 of the horse shoes that way in about 20 minutes.

Ive done all horseshoes, oysters, tags and photos. The horse shoes are easy to collect in jetpack but there are some that are hidden from view. I found that the guide is a little screwed up some horse shoes werent where the guide said they were and the photos were all wrong. The numbers for the photos on the map was different to the numbers of the photos on the next page (the actual photo). like on the map no 31 is the picture of no 50 on the next page.

i know, not only that but the numbering is ****. it goes all over the place, not left to right or up and down, just random. oh well doesnt matter ive done all that stuff anyway :P

Just a couple notes on snapshots that haven't been spelled out clearly here - the snapshot icons are ONLY visible when looking through the camera. You won't see them by standing with a gun and spinning the view with the right stick.

The only time you can find one without the camera is for a few hours after midnight, when it'll look like a flickering, glowing ball of white light. If you look at that light through your camera, it'll be a snapshot icon... 👍

I think this is kinda a dumb addition to the GTA series, ive got the strategy guide so know all the locations, its annoying though cause im gonna have to laboriously?? wander around the map, taking pictures for 100%.:grumpy:

I hate the Snapshots. I don't really care though. I also hate all of the Oysters and Horseshoes. Hidden Packages were fine to me, except I hated what they looked like in Vice City. GTA 3 had the best packages.

I understood that the Hidden Packages could have been money, drugs, etc. Anything of the like. But why do we have to find Horseshoes and Oysters? That really puzzles me. It's nothing to do with GTA.

I do, however, like the Tags. That's the best of these types of things they have added. But still, I don't understand why they made us find Oysters and Horseshoes.

I've only take one Snapshot. Do you take photos of people doing funny/criminal things? Or are they just a Photo of some scenery like mine was? If it is the latter, then they have no place in GTA really.
