The photography thread is to discuss all manners of photography or simply to show off your latest works. Doesn't matter what you shoot with, camera phone, DSLR, film, all are welcome.

Currently I shoot with a Canon 5D mostly either with a 28mm f1.8 or a 70-200mm f.28.

Anyway, I took my girls to the zoo the other day.

Did a shoot for a jewellery store a few weeks back. This was my favourite of the bunch. Out of all photography shoots I've done, jewellery has to be the hardest. Especially diamonds. The lighting was a nightmare and everything is so reflective.

^ Last one is an excellent effort! Kudos as it IS really hard to do well.

From a very recent trip to the Masai Mara.

Excellent pics. Especially the turtle since it was through glass. I currently have a russian tortoise. I have always liked turtles for some reason. Our recent honeymoon was to Disney world, Bush Gardens, Sea World and Aquatica. We took about 800 pics. Most are great quality but nothing like this.

You want a real photography challenge, try to capture metal flake up close in a paint job. Especially if the paint job is darker in color and the metal flake is lighter. VERY hard to do without a really good camera. If you can pull that off let me know. I have seen local photographers try and it ends up showing white dots. I have yet to see a successful real life photo of a car up close with metal flake. Even video cameras cant capture it up close.

Not many recent ones to add, so I'll re-post a few of my favourites from Jamaica:

Cheers. It took a lot of tinkering to get right.

I'm fairly certain I've shot a car with a flake paint job before, I'll have to search my archives. The trick is to defuse the hell out of the light hitting the car as it will reflect to all buggery. Also shoot it from far, smaller the car, less noticeable the reflections from the flake

Amazing shots Mog 👍

Latest shot from me, my youngest daughter made a mess of the living room and then passed out on the floor. Not too dissimilar to her dad after a few too many Scotches.
