Welcome to Photomode Magazine Cover Competition Week 10
This competition will be testing cover design, photoshop abilities and photomode abilities of residents of the planet.

Rules
Only Imageshack thumbnails will be considered for entry.
Use your own pictures.
One entry per person, per week.
Mark FINAL ENTRY in red on your final entry.
Stick with the theme.
Cite all sources you get your magazine logos from (not on the magazine, but in the post)
The picking will go like the Photomode Competition goes by a poll
Failure to abide by the rules results in DQ.

Theme
This weeks theme, as picked by Vicious VP, will be Nissan Cars
Further Explanation: Any Nissan Cars. Doesn't matter it is concept, production, tuner or race car.

Deadline
Saturday June 11th.

hey vicious ... just a question
will Infiniti (G35) and some tuner cars (like Mine's R34) be considered as Nissan cars?

Well there are two arguements for tuner cars...

1. The cars infact did start out as a original manufactured car by a car company, therefore are still the original brand.

2. Once a tuner company buys the rights to use a car as their tuner it no longer is it's original brand.

I don't know which one has more truth to it, is their infact rights involved when these tuner companies use a certain car? I did a quick research and could not come up with anything.

I believe that if a car was originally a Nissan then its always a Nissan, its not like you can call the Formula 1 Team Jordan a Jordan car, underneath it is still a Toyota and always be a Toyota.

oh well ... let's see what vicious think
but for interesting factor to attract more people to take part
less restriction is always better
look back the drift magazine week .. we got lots of entries
basically because there is no restriction to car choice
however I start to believe good theme helps participation

its a skyline.. and therefore a nissan.. so yes skylines, silvias, and Z-cars are all welcome.. any nissan sheesh.. lol

I regret giving this idea away but Id hate to spend the time doing it and not be able to submit.

I know this is the 'magazine' competition but are we limted to creating strictly magazine covers. Would anyone object to that including a race event program (for example a program you would buy an F1 event) SEE HERE: http://www.f1worldshop.com/images/f1gp/usa01program.jpg

It has much of the same design elements as a mag cover. Less headlines and such, but its still a publication that you have to pay for.

Your thoughts....?

Welcome aboard zonekill!
So far so good everybody ... looks like we'll have a nice compo this week
suzq > yours is too dark. did you use LCD screen while editing?

easy$$ > I think it is a good idea. We can do Autoparts Catalog or Program Booklet, which also involve "cover design". Since you have a high chance winning week 9, I guess you can put your idea into next week's theme. So what do you guys think? Good or Bad?

i didn't invert the colors, i had originally just changed them both to orange, but after lightening them, they seem to have turned yellow from that.. on top of blurring the photos background.. so the focus is on the cars, and not where they are.

See, I told you to watch this space.

Here is my...

Final Entry

It took half an hour. I'm not to serious about. But I think it came out ok.

Please put it into the top 20! Comments please!

mrplo--we haven't had 20 entries yet, so chances are it will make the poll. lol

i've also mis-spelled silvia, my hands always go for the y and not the i... lol.. pretty fixable mistake of course :) i'm definintely losing this round

Benner900
Zonekill you have a spelling mistake on your mag
Sylvia i believe is meant to be silvia

Yeah, I was wondering y or i when I wrote it down, but searched on the internet and many Sylvia came up! I was to lazy to start GT4 :dopey:

I will fix it soon!

Figured I'd give it a shot. I'm not completely happy with it so I may work on it some more!

I'm not sure about the headline - it started as Funk Seoul Brother, then changed to Funk Seoul Sister when I realised that the car's name is Silvia, then changed to Seoul Sister when I realised that the 'Funk' looked unnecessary ('Soul Sister' makes more sense than 'Funk Soul Sister')! The sub-head doesn't make much sense either, as it was the Silvia, not the Skyline which was recently axed!

I used Vicious VP's Photoshop template (thanks!), my personal barcode [make your own!], and this horrible photo I took:

This whole effort was a result of procrastination... I have two essays to write for uni :)
