this should probably be in a photomode subcategory, but i thought i would get more traffic here. I tried uploading a few pics to a forum, the pics stayed around 200kb but it said there was a 100kb limit, is there a way to bypass this, or must i compress the files?

Please think of the kittens, and trim them down to a realistic size like 800 or 600 pixels wide. Good advice for anyone posting any images onto the internet. Not everyone has broadband, and even if they do, it might not fit everyone's screen. You also won't see as much "grain" or pixelation in the images.

If everyone dodged the 100kb bandwidth limit, then the free image hoster might not be able to provide you with free hosting anymore. Something to think about.

This really should be moved to PhotoMode area, but since I don't go there, I figured I should throw in my two cents.

Just do the same as we all do and use Imageshack to upload the pictures

http://imageshack.us/

Just upload your picture and copy the thumbnail for forums (1) link and paste that into you post.

The end results will look like this when the post is viewed

and people can then click on the thumbnail to see the full size pic (such as my lovely V6 Clio here).

The silly thing is, you would have got this answer just as quick (if not quicker) in the Videos and Photos area.

Mods could you please move this one (hope you don't mind 440cuda - but its going to get moved even if I don't ask).

Regards

Scaff

OK. And what if everyone did that? The forum would be a mess. Please post in the correct place in the future.

This should be moved but, as it was deliberately posted in the wrong place, and it has been answered, it's just going to get locked.
