Alright, I've tried EVERYTHING! Trying to get my photos from Image Shack to appear in my group. Tried every single line that is offered and it keeps telling me Invalid URL or this photo is not from your album. Is it Album only for a group?!

Pretty funny (Definition of wrong). But nope. That doesn't work EITHER.

The following URLs were invalid. The specified picture could not be found or did not come from your albums.

It works fine in the forum itself; but for the group photo journal it keeps getting the above error.
 
Which "groups" are you talking about?

I took it out so you could see the entire code. If I leave it in you'll see the picture and not the code...but I appreciate your looking at it!
 
Use Flickr.. That's my suggestion.
 
You need to follow the instructions on the club page.
Which tell you you need to host the photo in GTplanets albums first.
So you must upload into your Albums on GTplanet and not an external hosting site.

So create an album on GTplanet.
Upload a picture to GTplanet album from HDD
Then Copy the GTplanet album URL for the picture to the club page photo album,
Or select add to group under the photo
then select which group
Click add to group
and your done.

Example https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/group.php?do=grouppictures&groupid=405
8 pics added to group.

I would like to know how to get photos on here in general, and btw Fishhunters could you send me your suit? It's very cool

In one of the A/B spec races before the suits were released I saw a pit crew with that suit and thought man now that's really cool! thanks Cowboy!
 
Would you mind telling me the name of the suit and helmet? :) I might find a different helmet, those gravity helmets are cool designs

Read the what it says dude. You may add pictures to this group from your albums. Paste the URL of each picture you want to add on a separate line. Alternatively, you can add pictures to this group by first viewing them in your albums and then selecting "Add Pictures to Group".

When it says that leads me to believe you can add from any source just need the URL.
 
When at this page - http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/225/ihprlsupergt038.jpg/ - do not post the URL in your address bar. The URL in your address bar is what takes you to that page. It is not where the picture is stored on their server.

Instead, right click on the picture, and depending on what browser you are using, get to where it shows the properties of that picture. If you're using Google Chrome like me, it will have an option to copy the URL of the picture, which I'm sure other browsers have as well.

The URL will look like this, without the spaces seperating it so you can see it correctly:

To sum it up, the first URL is what takes you to the page which shows you the picture as well as other site information and what not. This is the incorrect URL. The second URL is JUST the picture URL. It shows you the picture and that is it.

That's the URL you need to put in between the IMG tags.

If you want, you can make a Photobucket account. It's got a field that has the image URL surrounded by the IMG tags ready to copy and paste. It also lets you generate a code that let's you post thumbnails.
 
Final answer - gotta come from your GTP Album only.

you have to read all of a site not just the part you want to read
the part in green make it impossible for it to be external albums as for them to contain a link to GTplanet site would not make sense . Never mind that It also says on the site when you supply a url that fails to load.

So it not like there was no clue from the site what to do, again the Blue highlighted link to the storage location..

Did you not see that it was already solved? Guessing it was pretty important for you to lecture someone on how to read and interpret information.
