Photoshop Elements 6

I've been using PS7 on my PC for years, but I just got a Mac. So I downloaded the trial of PSE6 and it crashed twice while not responding to my attempts to open a file. I got rid of it and downloaded the Aperture trial.

Interestingly the PSE6 instal was 2.5 gb, while the Aperture was <400 mb.

What have your experiences with these two applications been?

i absolutely hate PS elements. For me it's either CS2 or CS3, I've yet to try CS4 though i don't think the new things are that necessary.
