photoshop help needed real bad please help me

how do u write on a pic of your car in photoshop and make it transparent so it looks like a paitjob or a sticker so it looks real i wana fool my friends i need step by step instructions real fast by today at least because he comin over and i wana trick him. can u help and quick i need step by setp instruction please hurry. thanks for your time i am a newb at pthotoshop and need help i dont wana read manul or watever because it take to long plu i got demo and have an online manuel i searded but cant find it i need help
 
if you want it transparent put the decal on a new layer and lower the layer opacity
 
no i wana type something in but make it transparent how i do that
and i a a nebie so i dont know wat u said
 
actually for a more realistic look do this
1./select text tool and choose the text to be a selection (at the top when you choose text tool)

2/ type your text (now it should be a selection)

3/select the layer with your car on it and copy and paste (with the text selection still there)

that should now make a new layer of a part of the car with the shape of the text

now select image--->adjust---->hue and saturation

now make sure colorize is selected and then play around with the settings.
atlest this is the way i do it
here check out the yellow line across the car (this method helps in that after you use it it does not take away from the shading... yes i know its an ugly a$$ car):

Do you know how many websites there are dealing with photoshop questions like this?

It amazes me that people buy photoshop without knowing how to do simple things.
 
But thats the thing. He thinks Photoshop is free and that its legal to get it on KaZaA and programs like that.

it say i got the DEMO VERSION
 
i just wanted to try it out.
plus i dont use kazaa becasue i dont listen to muisic and dont download games cuase i got the money to buy them

why do i want to buy a book on it when i just have the demo and plus i think there are a lot of frendily people like u who might not be busy help me :D

How so? The only word contained in that post that a 14-year-old might not know is "subtle". Regardless, the rest of the post should've been absolutely comprehensible.

And you're still not using anywhere near half-decent spelling/grammar.

It is just that i do not know a lot about photoshop for example doing layers i still do not know how to change them and stuff like that so thats how i got confused.
