Photoshop Help : tips & tricks

I recently installed Adobe Photoshop CS2 , and I want to use it to edit some of my GT4 pictures . I am totally new to the program , so EVERYTHING helps .

I've seen some of u guys doing some magnificent work on pictures , going from some subtile changes to the most sensational effects .

Cheers,
Netc.

They're some tutorials floating around here. Make some searches and see what you can find. :) 👍

Off-topic: Your car is simply awsome man !!! Congratulations and have fun using it 👍:)

Currently I'm trying to do some dirt effects on rally cars . Some help or examples are welcome. And yes , The BMW is nice , ... Very nice :) Just don't go modding it and ruin the shape :)

tx guys. Lol, no need to worry. There's an ///M sportskit on it since it rolled out of the factory and it'll stay the way it looks. I'm not one of those guys that make rice out of german cars. :)

In the future when i have a decent payed job i will however tune the turbo'd engine. But that is still a bit away from the present. Cause she cost already enough to keep on the road for a "young" boy like me.

cheers

She's nice though :) . My mom :):D has the convertible , and I kinda hate it , but this one is fab !. Photoshop isn't actually improving . Does anyone know some things to begin with ?

If you wanna put dirt on the car, most basic way is brush
by default, all brushes are round
when you try to choose a brush size, there is a arrow next to it
click it and you will see other brush sets
try to look around and find a brush that have many dots on it (don't how to explain)
create a new layer and use that brush with gravel colour and paint on the car
if it looks good but the shape is weird, use eraser clean the unnecessary part
also try to use different colour (darker brown or lighter brown) but paint it on separate layer

hope this help, but if you can't find a good brush, check Adobe support website
they have a community there with lots of free downloads
e.g. brush, pattern, action etc ..

Thank you very much ,franz. It helped. No pics yet tough , but I got into the smudge tool and took my M3 Race car out for a drive.
Here is the result:

This one is not good , imo , but hey , what the heck. :D

that looks good ... sounds like a lot quicker than my method
masking work will be very important afterward

Edited GT40, Though I find this car needs no editing whatsoever , I gave it a body kit and made some light adjustments.

Backfire on GT40 :

Found a way to add smoke-like textures:
-Color grey
-Brush round 65
-Click the airbrush Icon
-Opacity 16%
-Airflow 41%

You can change nearly everything to fit your needs.
