Anyone have any clue as how to get rid of this annoying outline and whole "layer mask" set up when i make a shape using the Custom Shape Tool? It's really getting on my nerves.

If you look closely, you can see the outline. It's the jaggedness of the arrow.

Any ideas as of how to get rid of this? :(

Right click on the layer (in the layer window) > rasterize, that's it.

The jagged bit is the vector mask edge, when you select a different layer the vector mask edge isn't visible leaving you a nice anti-aliased shape. Othewise when the layer is active it is visible.

I had to lose my old version of Photoshop recently... When i made shapes there, they were automatically normal... as if made by a brush...

Oh well, that does work anyway, suppose i should be happy with that...

But, you don't know of any way to go back to how it once was for me? Having a rasterized layer automatically?

Fireworks has nice Rastering tools. Why not download Fireworks, and use both Image editors at the same time?

I have Fireworks MX. I've only used it for slicing though.
