Well as promised I've Uploaded a full glorious PDF version of my tutorial, ive included the Layer Mask tutorial aswell. I'ts high resolution so the download is big 8mb to be exact, but if anyone want a low res version im more than happy to do it.

Well ive taken down the tutorial as it was and uploaded this new PDF version its around 8MB but its high quality and has got the Layer Mask tutorial included, along with pics that ive done with these tools. enjoy

i use this technique a lot, tho i do the blur in photoshop and lower the opacity of the blurred layer. your tut is very in depth 👍

That was a great read. I knew most of it already, but I'm always looking for ways to improve. Great tutorial.
 
Thanks guys, as soon as ive done parts 3 and or 4 then i will create a PDF version for download and also a flash version too. Would it help also if i did a Video tutorial set? because ive got Camtasia and a microphone and i dont mind doing it. :)

This tutorial is great. It has helped my photoshopping skills immensely. I ended up with this image. Not bad for a first try I reckon.

 
Speedy thats great, maybe sharpen him up a bit as you have lost a little bit too much detail but yeh thats great, im glad you enjoyed the tutorial.

The only problem for me is that I don't have Photoshop and I'm not going to purchase it... :(
