I highly recommend Picasa as well. I've used both Picasa and Apple's iPhoto, and I was pleasantly surprised to find Picasa to be faster/better/more fun to use. I honestly think it beats every competiting product out there, free or not. (and by this, I mean photo-managers, so I wouldn't count Photoshop as a competing product) 👍👍

My bad, I confused this with another program.

Adobe Photoshop Album starter edition or whatever it's called is pretty nifty, too.

Also, Google recently released Picasa for Linux (it runs under WINE). Here is the link http://picasa.google.com/linux/

I've downloaded it for Ubuntu 6.06 and it worked just fine. It includes an installer so no need to touch the terminal to install it.
