Pick My School!

I've decided to be a mechanic a while ago, So I've been looking around for some schools to go to after HS, and I've narrowed it down to 3.

First: UTI

Why? It's backed by ALOT of manufacturers.

Why not? I'ed have to move. To the middle of nowhere. 2 choices: Exton, PA. It's close to here, and PA is cheap. Or, The one in AZ, because my girlfriend has rich relatives in AZ and they'ed help me out for a while, but still... AZ is far.

Why? They seem more based on tuning cars, which is odd.
Why not? Once again, forced to move to the middle of nowhere. Blairesville PA is basicly the only choice here, I'm not moving to CA, it's too expensive.

Lincoln Tech: (Most favorable to me)

Why? It's a 20 minute drive from here.
Why not? I know a heroin addict that managed to graduate from there.
It's not backed by nearly the amount as the other 2 schools.

I can pretty much say that It'll be Lincoln Tech, but still..
I'ed like to hear from any other "Automotive School Graduate" about where they went, and if it was a good experiance or not.
 
Now my choice would have to be either wyotec or UTI, since they are backed by a lot of manufacturers and do have a good reputation, but if you'd have to move that would be a disadvantage to Lincoln Tech although what you stated about a heroin addict kind of makes me lean toward the other two. Then again these are my choices, and not me deciding for you, so its up to you to make your decisions. So whatever you choose will be the best choice for you.:)
 
Well, that guy is pretty smart when it comes to cars.

He's beaten me in "Name That Car" in the middle of the night where all you can see is taillights lit up. He's good.

Go ahead. No one ever calls me besides Concept (recently)

I've spent time on the phone with:

Snoopie (thats right, all the way from somewhere in Europe)
Concept
Voltron (I think he left)
DessViper
And I think Darin called me once, I'm not sure.

I know M5P has me on his cell phone, but he's never called me.
 
I voted UTI since I've heard some good things about them.

Also, if this school is graduating herion addicts, are you sure you ant to attend? I mean, being good at "guess that car" does not mean that they can actually work on cars.
 
I know, I know, but still. It's close. I won't have to move out, thats why I'ed go there.

Oh, and another thing, these schools won't cost me anything to attend, My uncle is paying for it.
 
Yeah, I hear you. But your about to invest 2 years of your life (or will it be 4) into something that you will use for the rest of your life. You don't want to look back and say, "well , while I was at it, I wish I had done it all-out."
 
Hey MistaX, you might want to check into Baran Institute, the college that I am going to, it is located in Windsor, CT just 20 minutes south of Springfield, Mass and 20 minutes north of Hartford : ) that is where I am starting school in January. It offers the same program that UTI has and it is nearby to where you reside if I remember correctly. Out of the three you have there UTI would be what I would suggest, but for at least $7 grand less in school Baran is the shiz dude. Wait until you do a walk through of the school and the dorms where you might not only run into me, but you might see this really hot blond from Russian or Poland or something : ) give me a PM dude or look for my thread "On that note let's get back to the program" : )
 
Out of the schools you listed in your original post I'd definitely choose Wyotech.👍

I remember telling you before that I'd call you sometime when I'm drunk, but I usually am too drunk to remember to call you. Not that I really want to talk to you anyways after you left those messages on my voice-mail saying stuff like, "Answer the phone or I'll ****ing kill you." :lol:

Moving house to go to college is something that you should do. Definitely. You have to get out of the family house at some time, and going away to university is pretty much a guaranteed ticket to having a fulfilling university experience. Even if the place is in the middle of nowhere.
