I am maxed tuned my Ford Lightning truck to 561 HP and 497 PP. The problem is the truck braked itself automatically once I hit 142-144 MPH on the track. It is bad! Because of that the other pickup trucks are be able to caught up with me on the track. I don't want my pickup truck to brake off by itself on the track. I want it to go at full speed.

Lengthen the gear ratios. More power only gives your car the ability to reach its top speed quicker - lengthening the gears increases the top speed it can reach (until you lengthen them too far and the car doesn't have the power to reach it - then add more power :D )

Two likely solutions from your description:

1--> Turn off ASM. It actvates the brakes when a wheel starts to slide. Not good for ovals in particular.

2--> If it happens on the straights it's hitting max RPM. Go to the transmission on the setup screen and lengthen the final gear ratio(make the number lower). It shows the speed that it will limit to in the top right corner of the window.

Apologies if you're quite well aware of these things and are having a problem I've never heard of.

EDIT: Unsurprisingly tree'd.

- Famine I've tuned to max as high as possible.
- Morgoth how do you turn ASM off? I don't want to touch transmission unless someone who is expert and tell me what to do. I am not expert. I am newbie. I will try enter the transmission.

ASM is an option in the "Driving Options" menu, found next to the setup menu in the pre-race screen.

It does sound like your problem is coming from the transmission though. Make sure you have the full custom transmission installed, and click on the button on the right side of it to bring up the window that has all the gear ratios. Then you can adjust the Final Gear by moving the slider -- I think to the left -- until the max speed number at the top right of the window goes up to what you want it to be(it's usually a little higher than the speed you'll actually reach). You can also just change the Top Speed setting at the bottom which some people prefer. If you screw something up there is a button to go back to the defaults, so don't worry too much.

Alternatively, you could probably try installing the stock transmission for tracks that fast since I think most of the trucks have extremely high gearing originally. It won't be as efficient but should remove the top speed limit.

Tactics play a key role too. Don't try to get to the head of the pack immediately. Instead, hang back as long as you're comfortable so that you can slingshot to the front near the finish and keep them from doing the same. As I recall, I did this event with a Tacoma mildly modified with SS tires and golded it using this method.

I have no idea what this means.

If you mean you've tuned the transmission to the highest possible speed, there's no hope of you reaching that in a 500hp office building. The car will only be able to go so fast before it runs out of power to do so - and I suspect that'll be near 175mph, so set the transmission to that.

If you mean you've tuned the power to as much as you can, that's completely irrelevant for the reasons I stated in my first post. Increasing power only means you hit your top speed sooner - and if your top speed is 145mph, how on Earth do you think you will go faster than that?

Given the below, I suspect you mean the latter rather than the former, which means you haven't actually read my post which tells you exactly what to do.

I did:

Go to transmission. Move "top speed" to show bigger numbers. Bigger number means higher top speed.

Thank guys for all your helps. I've managed to analyst the data inside the customize transmission and make a few adjusts. I've managed to go at 190 mph and outran all trucks on the road.

- Famine I apologized if I make a mistake. I did read all your comments and did what you told. It worked very well. I will use transmissions as much as I can for next many events.
