This thread is to see only the 'dirtiest car' (vs clean) from racing not adding the photodiode oil/dirt etc....
I'll start, this is from racing the 30min Le Mans race. It was cleaned before the race and again after so the dirt/dust buildup is specifically from that race only.

Yea, i don't get this 'feature' and why it was even added if the cars don't show dirt/oil from races. Why they wasted time on this and not the other dozens of things that they should have spent time on is beyond me.

The only time I ever washed a car in this game was on accident when I meant to change the oil (another stupid thing in this game) and washed it by accident.

The GT franchise has always had an artificial, unimpaired, sterilized look. On the PS2, I thought it was an artistic resource and I even liked it. Then on PS4 and PS5, I believe it's too forced and unnatural. In dirty races, the cars are clean and untouchable. It's an absurd.

It might take almost 8,000~10,000 miles to get significantly dirty like in GT6. Anyone put that kind of mileage on without car washes?

Why did they bother with this feature lol
100%

I brought a car in after a rally....it barely had any dust on it. After being on a rainy track (or street) in real life for even a moment, cars are usually covered in dirt. In the game, they are barely changed.

Someone spent time on this rather than a worthwhile feature.

Car washes and oil changes have been features since GT1 and GT3 respectively. They probably require very little time and resources to implement if the less advanced games from over 20 years ago also have them.

My tomahawk has just under 50000 miles on it, haven't changed the oil in about 30000 miles and there's no difference. All stats are red and bad but it's still plugging away, I was hoping it would blow up mid race ha.
Nearly 2 thousand miles in an RX500 around Le Mans in mixed conditions, never changed oil as I want to see if the engine will break, and not a spec of dirt on the car. Great job PD.

Surely they can at least change the program to make it look more dirty after the race. It's like it's set on the minimum setting for dirt collection. lol!

There are oil stains and dirt in photmode... why can't it show up on car after long race is beyond me. Especially that cleaning car is extremly cheap and probably no body would complain about having to pay to clean the car.

This is what Driveclub did and it scaled up to really dirty. I'm sure GT7 developers can figure a way to apply some sort of filter like this if only just to time trails or offline racing??

Clean LaFerrari versus dirty - in Driveclub. Even the brake callipers got "dirty"

Heck, the first Colin McRae in the PS1 already had cars getting covered in mud!
