you spend a lot of money on apple pie huh?

i guess the method from american pie was bound to spread:lol:

Apple pie. But not just any apple pie. I think it's called Dutch Apple... with the cinamon crumbly stuff on top. Oh yeah.

I also like cherry pie, and cherry rubarb pie.

Nothing beats Pecan pie. Nothing. I ate like half of one on Thanksgiving.

Sweet Potato Pie is the bomb.
And if Boom has ever seen "Oh, Calcutta" I hope he doesn't have an Entemann's Chocolate cake at home in the fridge.

I like apple pie with ice cream, I feel like some now but I cant eat coz I just got a filling in my tooth:(. But I got to go home instead of going back to school and I gott the momo steering wheel for my computer:D.

Imagine if it was a pie whoa that would be crazy!

I dont like pumpkin so I dont think I would like some pumpkin pie.

When I was younger, I used to live in Lancaster, PA. For additional info., the county has the highest Amish to Non-Amish person ratio. There was an Amish mart about 2 miles from my house and they made the most amazing chocolate pie. They usually came with natural chocolate and hand-whipped cream. Every few weeks, my family would take trips down there and pick up some produce. My question would always be if we could purchase some chocolate pies, which never lasted more then a week. :D

There were other pies that had amazing flavor there as well. Like, Rhubarb pie and fresh Strawberry pie.

Yep, I like most pies except cherry. I'm not a fan of cherries.

I'm also quite a purist. I like the pie, and tend to eschew the extras such as cream/custard/ice cream.

I'm confused. Here a pie is a hand sized pastry that has steak and kidney or chiicken or spinach and feta in it.

Cherry pie is a tart. Steak pie is a pie. Sweet potato pie is a 'bake'.

The way I see it is that "pie" has a roof, "tart" does not. Both have pastry bases and sides, where "bake" do not. However, Americans seem to refer to any pastry-based sweet as a "pie", hence "pecan" and "key lime", which are both awesome, being referred to as "pies".

This is, I feel, at the root of the cheesecake debate.

So cherry pie has a pastry base, but no roof, just like a pecan pie? Same story applies to cookies and biscuits.
