My parents recently purchased a Freeview box, and after a few episodes of Pimp My Ride on Five US, I decided to do it myself!
I couldn't resist a side-profile shot of this one. This used to be a Matchbox Tizer Ford Supervan 2. First I seperated the body from the chassis, and then I sanded and cut the chassis rear to accomodate the rear axle from a HotWheels top-fuel dragster. Then I ground down the wheel arches to fit the wheels. Next I have to paint it metallic purple, with a silver metallic stripe down the side and over the top (like on Daisy Duke's Roadrunner).
Plans are in place to make this one super-fast Aston Martin DB7. It's got the axles from a HotWheels car (forget which one) and the paintwork's been sanded down ready for paint. It's going to be Solent Silver with dark grey headlights, blacked out windows, repainted wheels, and red rear lights. Also small details like the grille are going to be dark grey as well.
So, two pimped HotBoxes! Tell me what you think. 👍
