Hello everybody... i´ve never started a thread here, so heres my first one.
Well, as everybody knows, the PS3 is virtually unlockable, because of its firmwares and the blu-ray disc device ( dont know much about the technical details behind this ) .
The questions is: Actually, the ps3 its the only next-gen console where piracy dont have a place. A lot of us , have already collaborated for the grown of the piracy industry in some way. Do you think the PS3 being piracy-free is a good thing or a bad thing?
Here´s my opinion:
Its a GOOD thing. The ps3 are a high-end domestic device, built for home entertainment, high quality standards. I´m from brazil, piracy here reigns freely around the country. The overpriced games ( thanx for the PIRACY ) are really a issue for the consumers here. But speaking as a consumer, i can tell that if i have the money to acquire such high-end technology , i should afford the games too. The quality of every game lays in its development and every other detail that piracy dont care about. People dont stop trying to "Unlock" the Ps3 , but i think its a waste of time ...
The developers put REAL money in this industry, piracy ruins that. If you buy a game other than the original one, you´re telling the developers they dont deserve your money ( ok, some games real dont deserve it
