Pit bug - held in pit lane even after fuel stopped refilling

I just did the first S-class race, 8 laps of Silverstone. It was going well, I was slowly gaining on the leader, I pitted in lap 5 with everyone else. But I was kept in the pits longer than everyone else. My fuel meter was filling up, then it got to just past half way and stopped, but I couldn't drive for another 5-10 seconds. Is this a known bug? Does it happen often?

THEN, as if that wasn't bad enough, I ran out of fuel on the last turn. This was using the recommended amount which came up as soon as I entered the pits.

So, after spending ~15 minutes on a race where my car was easily superior and I accurately paced my tires, and losing, I'm very angry.

I almost put more 5-10 litres of fuel that´s reccomended, my experiences from previous races is that every time i only got the amount of recomended fuel i would finish the race with 1 litre of fuel, so i recomend allways putting more than recomended as for the bug, it didn´t happen to me.

I find that to be ridiculous. It's like the game is trying to ruin your race :\
