Pit Lane Autopliot Off Glitch

The other day I accidently crashed into the pit lane in the 30 seconds after the winner had won the race while the race timer was on at 30 seconds. During this time, the camera changed to that zoomed out camera from alongside the pit wall looking at the car and then to my surprise, I was still in 100% control of the car.

I then retryed this with my friends and had one guy race ahead in an X2010 and win the race and then we didnt even cross the start line, just went backwards and waited for him to win. Then the ace timer was at 3 minutes and we could all drive freely in the pit lane. Here are some photos I managed to take as a result:

What happens if you try to drive into one of the garages???
 
I tried this one time too...

We were getting ready to race, everyone was in the pits but me. The host started the race and the timer was counting. I was going to pit as I was at the end of my lap anyway, but instead of pitting I was racing around in the pits. Hilarious.

Unfortunately, everyone got black screen and had to restart the game... wtf..
It must be 4-6 months ago now.
 
Happened to me after going into the pits on a custom Eifel track. Lots of oddities concerning the pit lanes on the custom tracks, didn't know you could do the same thing on real tracks.
 
This happened to me in a free run on Toscana last week. In that room if you drove through the pits you could control the car but it disabled all the camera controls.
If you drove backwards through the pits it would trigger the pit options screen and the car would go to it's pit box as normal but you wouldn't be able to leave the pits without quitting back to the lobby screen.
 
in the toscana track, you can drive backwards through the pit if you slide along the pit wall

so, as far as i understand, you can drive in the pits only after the race has been won by someone?
 
I haven't done this glitch, but when I was in a drift lobby yesterday on tsukuba my tail went slightly into the, pits and then it put me in cockpit view as it usually does when you go in the pits, but I kept my drift and it went back to chase cam. Halfway around the corner it pulled up the tire selection screen. It was very bizarre.
 
I couple weeks ago i came into the pits wayyyy too fast at Daytona, during a race, i hit the wall, and bounced out of the Auto area, i drove back in and my pit crew was standing there... So i drove up to them, stopped, and they worked on my car. When they finished, I drove off, only to find that nothing on my car had actually changed. Pretty cool though :)

I was driving my Nardo at Toscana, and at the end of the lap I entered the pits at high speed. My car proceeded to leave the pits without pitstop and, for my surprise, started driving on it's own. I wasn't touching my controller while my car continued to race as if it was A.I. I attempted toggling autopilot and it worked, but when I exited it resumed driving. At the end of the lap it pitted by itself. Most likely lag issues.

My GT-R GTAV did that too, but on the Top Gear Test Track, I got 10 laps before I decided to quit out of the race.:grumpy:
