Pit stop bug

Got extremely frustrated with the Daily C today, was running an okay race, startedfrom 13th making my way up to 3rd, my plan was not to change tyres, while most of the players did pit early and changed tyres (saw on the replay) i was expecting to leave the pit stop around 6th spot having a quicker pitting at Yamigawa. To my surpise the "do not change buttons" stopped working after I realised i am losing so much time, i tried to click anything, nothing worked untill like 15seconds after, so I ended up doing my lap with pit at 2:00, while everyone elses pit was at around 1:45 or some below 1:40. Did anyone else experience this, or maybe this is some kind of "thing" i dont know about pitting? I feel like I wasted 20 minutes of my life because of one simple bug.
