YA SAY WHAT?!!!!
I've been at GT Planet for one year today. I had never been involved in a forum before, so the whole concept was new.

After spending a few hours looking at the options and layout, I had taken the bait and swallowed, all without knowing it.
I was in, and quickly found a few topics that interested me more so than some others, and nestled in and got comfortable.:sly:

I had been playing GT for a long time and knew there must be a lot more people, like myself, that where submerged in the GT phenomena, and here is where they all were.

Well, I've meet and laughed and conversed with members from all over the world, won a months Premium, come 3rd in a season of F1 time trials, and improved my driving on and offline through competetion and this all thanks to a man with a dream, Jordan, and his band of of entrusted mods. All of you give up your time and knowledge to allow people from around the world to come together and enjoy a myriad of opinions and topics.

Looking for to the next year and beyond.

Share a short story of your GTP beginnings, if you want.👍

won a months Premium
Not won. Earned. :D

Congrats and here's to another year.

I came looking for GT4 videos, had to be registered to download them, did so and, like you, I was hooked instantly.

*checks date joined*

Looks like I'm at 5 years and 6 days now. Cool.

I made a thread after my one year too. I can't believe I've been here for Almost 3 years! Its the most time Ive ever been on a forum. And I guess its just the fact that im not talking to a bunch of kids, Im speaking to adults. Its about time!

Someone who I raced with a lot on GT5P "tedsleds" reccomended gtplanet to me for car setups, now it has became a way of life. 1 year next week.

I came here looking for whatever info of the Toyota 88C-V exists, there is none. Registered, looked around a bit, and actually started posting, a month later, very rarely. But here I am now, an everyday user and i'm adored by everyone!!!. My account turns 1 in october.

I came here about 2 years ago looking for info on some cars for GT4.. I rarely posted, and I got hooked in the GT4 Photomode section and I had a big album and everything.

Nowadays, I come here daily but I don't post that much. Maybe about 5-6 posts a day..?

Also, my job is due ruin every Funny Pic Thread.
/sarcasm

:indiff:

I came here two years ago, or something, I was 12. I've been here actually just over two years, now that I look at it, I joined July 27 2007. Cool. And 2000+ posts.

Well, it all started when I was looking at GT4 drifting videos, having just bought GT4. I was on a vacation in Lake Chelan, and I hadn't brought my PS2. I had pumped myself up with videos of drifting, and I noticed a comment: "Have you checked out GTPlanet?" i came, and I just joined, since it was my first forum visit. I settled in quite nicely, although my personality didn't work well. As it happens so, I think I won the 2007 "Epic fail" award. That didn't help me, as I quickly accumulated 25 infraction points.

Found the site when I was around 9 or 10, only joined a few years later when I thought I was mature enough.

I made a thread for my one year also. I came here looking for how to drift in GT3 and GT4 back in October 07. I took a huge break from Christmas 07 to march 08. Now I havent left.

I was barely old enough to legally drive when I first found GTP. Now I have a wife, a 3 year old, and a one year old.

It goes by fast, folks - 8 and counting.

Reccomended by MazKid I believe on an AOL chat room a very long time ago.

7 years and counting...

I came here on December the 16th 2007 looking for Prize car lists for GT4. Found them. Registered. And now I'm on every day :D

Registered in September 2006. First time in a forum, so I was quite lost. I made it my priority to read every single thread in the GT1 and GT2 forums before I made a post myself (to prevent embarrasment etc). Needless to say, I can't live without GTP now . Best place on the 'net 👍.

Looks like June 2nd was my 1 year anniversary. I had stumbled upon the forums and had been looking as a guest for about 2 months before I joined. During the summer I'm on every day, but during the school year... :scared:

In October, I'll be 7. I joined to take part in the OLR that was going on here.

Thanks very much for the kind words, zed300, I'm glad you're enjoying your time here!

I've always wondered, Jordan. What gave you the motivation to create a GT forum? Were there any successful GT forums back then, or is GTP the first?

i THINK i registered here because i wanted a link for the gt4 demo with bmw(not sure about that) and i'm also pretty sure that amar and stinger gave the link

at least i think that's how it happened, almost 5 years have passed since my registration :dunce:

2 years :) August 2007. I semm to go through impulse posting phases. Came here because I looked up Gran Turismo and GTP came up on page 20 something. So I clicked.

I think I've been here through two of Jordan's Avatars.

EDIT: I've actually been at GTP Two years Today.

How did I forget, I just went past my third year at GTP, 4 days ago. In that time I've moved house, went from Primary to Secondary school, then changed school again.

Congrats Danster for your two years aswell!

It was after a couple of on-line race sessions a little over a year ago with a well known Aussie GTP member that I was made aware of GTPlanet .

Please excuse any of my earlier threads/posts.:guilty:

It's been good having you here this past year Jeff.:) Say PAPA, which member would that be? I remember telling you to join after racing you online, but can't remember if you said somebody else had already told you about this joint.:)

I have probably visited here heaps of times without knowing how good it was before I signed up. (I distictly remember seeing the Nurburgring webcam thread ages ago - and I stumbled on it again when I was a member).
I joined because of the GT4 photo comps. Then I moved into the GT5P section where I started posting. I got into online racing events after a totally by chance meeting with Papa and Animera with the 350z event at Daytona road.

Since then, I have opened two galleries, contributed to the best of my ability, and met great people to chat or race with. I even had a happy birthday thread opened for me!

Strangely, many people refer me to my PSN name instead of GTP username. I don't know why - but I don't mind 👍.

My account is just over half a year old.

Thankyou all for being so accomodating and such a genuinely friendly bunch of people. 👍

Because it's easier to say.

Approaching two years but it feels like a lifetime. This place has been so great to me and I have made some purely awesome friends, some of which I may even meet in the future. The people here dont really judge you by your age/height or size, it is such a nice friendly place to enjoy your spare time in. There is always a post to reply to or a forum to visit, I love it here :( (Happy Tears). Ill say more on the 29th of October :).

Thank you all.

I registered when I was looking up prize cars for GT4 and the forums tab caught my eye. My first forum was "Twin City Mustangs" back in January of 2008 but I was outcasted because I was... well... a headstrong, immature little 🤬. But I've learned from that experience and I know what to say and what not to say.
I've still got a long way to go but I've been here for a month. It'll all be a matter of time before I am one of the 1 year members.

But not for another 11 months.
