Played the TDU demo yet?

I d/l it this morning and then spent the next 3 hours (which I'd usually spend on Halo2) playing it. Even thought its a smidgen of the overall game !!!

What do you think of the gameplay, graphics etc....

I thought the demo was awesome. The graphics are good, you drive by things and have to sometimes drive back to take a second look !

The handling of the cars is good - You can feel a big difference between the Mustang and the F430.

Im not a big fan of the bike they put in the demo - The way it handles seems a bit too slow for me - I'd have thought the turn in on a bike would be quicker and more responsive than a car?

The on-line multiplayer aspect looks to be amazing - Just drive about and you'll see another payer doing the same, you can take part in solo, multiplayer and also instant challenge races - this is done by inviting someone as you driver past them.

You can cut throught trees, go onto the beach, park up in an alley (ooer!) etc....

If driving on the wrong side of the road the on-coming cars sometimes take evasive action to try and avoid you - which beats just hitting you head-on!!

Sometimes the lag is terrible, you get racers jumping up and down the road infront of you - but thats unavoidable I guess.

One question from me is this - Does anyone know how you would find a particular person who is say, just driving about. Say you have someone on your friends list who you want to drive/race with, how would you get to them. Im presuming that there cannot be only 1 island, because there'd be too many players on at once - So how would you find someone in a parallel world on XBL ??

Bikes don't corner as well as cars in real life, if the bike shot round corners faster than the cars that would be wrong. For more info on finding firends, check the last page of the other TD:U thread aboiut the car list, there's a big demo discussion going on in there.

Ahh - thought that was just the car list - nevermind. I guess this can be closed off if there's already something else with the details on it!
