What are people's opinions on it? Do you kick other players? And if so, for what reasons would you kick them?

I was kicked for the first time in a race on GTA last night. I'd entered on one race and come about 4th of 5, then I came second in the next race out of four, and then I won two 3 player races in a row. At the next loading screen I was kicked.

I messaged both members and asked them if they didn't like being beaten in a fair fight, and one replied this morning saying that he'd been on microphones with the other players and they'd complained I was hitting them off.

I was a bit surprised by this as obviously there'd been body contact, and one time I may have even knocked someone into a spin, but let's be honest this is GTA and not GT5 - accidents happen, the traffic had been set on full by the other player so crashes are pretty much unavoidable and I certainly wasn't going around punting into people - they were doing a perfectly good job of crashing into solid objects by themselves.

I do get the feeling that it was more likely I was kicked because they suddenly found themselves losing.

The player who messaged me back said that admittedly he hadn't had any problem with me himself and he kicked me because the other guy suggested it (sounds like a bit of ganging up on people without mics who can't explain themselves), so I messaged him explaining that I wasn't going around punting people, but thanking him for his reply.

What is the world coming to though when people get upset about damaging their car in GTA though?... :dunce:

What's the world coming to when you care about getting kicked from a game?

Different people have different opinions about what they qualify as racing. Contact with other racers isn't implied just because it isn't a sim, but it was purely the decision of the host. Chances are they may have known eachother IRL and felt it was just easier to boot you.

To be honest I don't care that much, and if you'd seen the first few lines I was starting a thread more to ask people here if they kick others and for what reason. I just used last night as an example of a situation.

The only thing I was really bothered about was that it's a bit annoying, because once you get kicked it takes you back to single player so you have to log back in again if you want to play offline.

Ive kicked my mate to annoy him :P
But of coure I re-invited him.

I havent been kicked out yet but have been voted...

In regular races I would try to avoid hitting anyone, but in a GTA race the whole point is to destroy their vehicle to get an advantage.

The only people I've kicked are hosts that won't start a game-- or keep changing the car/track for over a minute-- I have noticed that there is a glitch with MP... the 2 or 3 times enough people have voted to kick the the host and they are actually kicked-- no new host was automatically assigned-- so you may as well quit the game rather then try to kick the host as the game will essentially hang with no new host to start a game.

I tend to kick people who do that too, though not if there are only a few people in the game. It's fair enough if it's a busy lounge and the host is taking ages, but if there are only 3 players to start with then the subsequent game will just suck!

On another kicking note, I joined a game of Hangman's NOOSE today in which there were three other players, all were on level 8, 9 or 10, and as soon as I joined the lounge I already had two people trying to kick me. Reckon they didn't want a "mere" level 4 player in their game? I left for another game straight away, wasn't cheesed off but if they clearly didn't want me in their game then there was no point waiting around to be kicked.

The only thing that annoys me is joining a game only to hear, "Kick him". Wow, ok, for no reason I need to be kicked.

But, it is fun to see them join my game later on and then convince everyone to kick them then and there for no reason.

If they have a high voice and scream a lot i kick them

I mute but yes too many "kids" playing. But its great as they suck at the game. Wait one kid... about 10 or 11, level 10 (Saddo!)

Really above average player and must be sad enough to get to level 10 in rank... one morning I woke up, switched the PS3 7am before school and he is playing GTA  social life?

On burnout online at a friends, first game was... come in.

People at the stadium. "Green guy (me) get to the stadium) repeated twice...
Then the guy gets everyone to kick me lol and im out and im like... wow, real cool.

I was enraged when someone destroyed my infernus = 8 kicks votes out of 13

Best game

Recently I snipe a lot (headshots are my target) which then ends up me votedfor kicking yea! 👍

Also I entered a game of 3 people. I get kicked about 4 seconds starting... I was like ok?

Kicking is really useless. It makes the person getting kicked laugh (I do) :dunce:

Yeah, I've had these incidents as well, I especially hate it when you join some games which are two guys who(obivously)are friends, then you do whatever and get kicked. But yeah doesn't really matter to me
