Playing online with DS3

Hi folks,

Never played GT5 online (never played any game online, single player only), so I don't know much about GT5's multiplayer features. Given that I play GT5 with a DS3, I was wondering if there was a way to play GT5 online with other people that use the DS3 only? I feel that someone using a wheel will have an advantage over someone using the DS3, so I'd like to compete with other DS3 users. Is this possible?
 
Not unless you ask each individual player, or call a room controller only and hope that no wheel users join
 
There's a lot of people that use a DS3 online. It's nothing to worry about. As far as playing online with other players that are using DS3's, unless you make your own private room and invite friends of yours that you know use DS3's, there's no real way to separate DS3 users from wheel users.

You can drive around a track with a DS3 pretty fast. A wheel allows you to be smoother and with that,you can shave a good amount of time off your laps but, a DS3 is just fine.
 
I was really hoping GT5 had the ability to restrict controller type. As you said, someone using a wheel will be so much smoother hence giving the use a pretty advantage. Hopefully this will be added in a future update.
 
I use a wheel. I'm beat by DS3 users often.
 
I use a DS3 and kick butt with it. Practice makes perfect.
 
I'm sure you won't have a problem online. The DS3 isn't really a handicap, for me atleast. I'm pretty good with the DS3. Almost always snagging a podium.
