Playing with an offbrand controller

I recently picked up one that looks like a transparent blue Sony DS2 but without the Sony logos, no FCC sticker, and the X/Square/O/Triangle buttons look different. So far I haven't seen any issues other than the pressure sensitivity being REALLY touchy, especially with the X button.

Does anyone play or have played GT4 with a fake Sony/offbrand controller? Have you seen any issues with the game as opposed to a controller by Sony or one by Logitech/another well-known brand?

I've had issues with both my official PS2 controller, which steers left permenantly, and my PS1 controller which has no button pressure sensitivity.
Now I usually play with a cheap and nasty controller that has pressure sensitivity and actually is great!
