I've just gone on a foolish splurge and ended up buying the clubsport wheel base, clubsport desk mount, clubsport pedals, and the playseat evolution. I'm gonna be in debt for quite a while :-/

At present I'm using a G27 which is hooked up to my desk. When the playseat arrives, I plan to only use the seat itself and the pedals; I don't intend on using the centre post as I like the sturdiness of the desk. I hope I haven't overlooked anything here? From what I've seen on youtube the centre post can be removed entirely.

Anywho, my main concern is whether or not the clubsport pedals can be mounted on to the playseat evolution. Anyone have this setup? Is it sturdy enough? I understand the brake will take a bit of a hammering so I'm worried that the playseat won't be able to take the pressure.

Hope you guys can help!

Many thanks,

J Jack

I'm using it with clubsport pedals. As long as you don't put the brake in the really stiff setting it works pretty well. I did though eventually invert my pedals and built a frame to hold them instead of using the playseat base for them.

I also ditched the stock pedal mount not long after purchasing mine. To be honest your money would probably better spent just getting a regular chair that is comfortable than buying the playseat.

Cheers guys! Sounds like the stock pedal mount may be a bit of a problem. However, I'll be able to position it so it leans against a wall, which I'm hoping will make it sturdier.

Thanks again for you comments!

A bit of basic metal-work will probably do the trick...
