Well, im gonna buy one of these out of next weeks paycheck (:D). First off, i have only found 1 place that defintly does them in the UK (Toys r Us) and one place that may do them in Brighton, havnt checked yet but its an official distributer of Logitech stuff apparently so who knows.

Now, who else has a playseat? Whats it like? And is the Petter Solberg or Fernando Alonso Editions much different except colour?

No, it's the same according to the website. Actually, the price of the normal size was 199 in pounds steling, and the shortass one is 199 in euros :odd:

I guess that makes it cheaper.

I have seen the full size one for £180 at toys r us:D

Not the Solberg one though:( no where has that one.

Actually I bought one a month ago for €99 (yes legal) and I love sitting in it. (black and blue)

It does not wobble as much as I expected (I am a smooth driver)
I love the fact that you can take away the frame and your left with a nice chair in your room (even my wife likes it)
It it so adjustable that I (190 cm) and my children (2 & 5) fit and can reach both pedals and steer.

Only disadvantage for me? haven't found it yet, especially for 99€
 
Im ordering mine from a site in Germany.. It will cost me about 306.75 € And ill have it around christmas..Why does money always have to be a prob?! :grumpy: Maann.. Im looking forward to get it :P

Actually it was a temporary action from a dutch pc shop called mycom...

sorry barry to make you travel further up north (eindhoven, NL) and/or pay more
 
I got mine just after the Games Convention (German E3) in August 2004. I ordered it directly at playseats.de. This was before you could buy it in any shop.

My sole complaint is that it is not solid enough. If you race the Hunaudière (the long straight in Le Mans) in GT4 with a fast car you think it´s gonna break every second. Well, it has not broken yet, but it is very shaky when DFP force feedback is active.

Nonetheless a seat/cockpit doubles the fun. Playing a racing game without it is like playing Dance Dance Revolution without a dancing pad. I would buy it again if it ever breaks.

BTW: No problems with my size (190 cm).

i live in the us so ive gotten use to the imperial standards lol.....im 5'9" :) thats all i know lol

The TV has to go with the release of the XBOX360, altough it has a VGA input. But it is too small (34 inch) and not 16:9.

My PC with three more loudspeakers (same series, but much smaller ones) is 6 meters (20 feet) opposite of the TV. :-)
 
I just bought the Pro version for 300€ (350USD, 420CAD) in the only french reseller (Fnac).
Normally the price is about 750€, but they wanted to get rid of it.
So I've got the blue one, with Pro Kit Extension and Safety Case, for cheaper than the basic one.

It's pretty heavy, but I agree with Nismo4life: the wheel mount ils not solid enough. I'm thinking of some stuff to reinforce it.
 
I purchased my Playseat Maranello Red back in December to mark my sixth month on the job. Yesterday I purchased the Pro-Kit and its on its way.
