Please PD rescue the BMW 135 tii

come one this is one of the best driving cars in the game, there are very few other cars that have balance between oversteer and understeer than the BMW 135 tii. I have driven almost every car in the game and this one is the most fun, I loved racing it at Suzuka 600 until the tire restrictions were given, now this poor car is almost undriveable. Please figure out some race configeration that can allow this fine car to show its true colors, thanks........
 
I don't know what the tire restirction at the PP600 Suzuka race is, but even when using S2 tires for Arcade TT, I have no problem controlling this car at all. And I don't use any driving aids (save for ABS) when driving with my steering wheel. Same goes for the BMW Concept car and the M3.
 
I don't get it. You say that the car has a balance between under and oversteer but you say that tyre restrictions make the car undriveable?

I like the 135, but I'm glad I left the days of "noob" fields behind me who were all in this BMW and couldn't drive to save their own lives. The 135 now has a permanent sour taste in my mouth because of the Beginner races. The less of them around, the better!

What's so wrong with the M3?!
 
What exactly makes it undriveable? On power oversteer? Braking understeer?
 
Avoidable? Perhaps. Inaccurate? Not in my opinion. The 1 series was created by BMW to target a specific market share and has done so quite successfully.

LOL BMW hasn't been targeting women with this car, they have been targeting the driving enthusiasts men and women....
 
Driving Enthusiasm. Isn't that a BMW sales spiel?

The 135i isn't a womans car. The 1-series tends to be marketed towards the female gender though. Just like the 7-series is marketed towards the wealthy older men.

Regardless though, I couldn't care less. I just bought a womens car and my manhood has taken a battering.

Nissan Micra anyone?
 
Call it what you want, but I've recently seen a few BMW 1 series around in my area....both in black......and I think it was sexy as hell. Sounded amazing too.

PS: I am of the male gender :)
 
Theres tons over here in Markham. I'm in love with the green metallic. Its so sexy.

I wish I could buy one of the 1 series! I was lucky enough to get to drive one for a few miles during a charity event at the local BMW dealership....and well if it's a women's car like you say, then slap a dress on me because the 1 series is an enthusiast's driving machine. "Year 1 of the 1" I only wish I had registered beforehand, because then I would have been able to drive the new M3 and the Alpina B7...but that's another story.

when I say undriveable I mean unraceable, its just not competitave it undresteers heavy going into the corner and oversteers under power, some cars were effected more than others with the tire restrictions and this one got killed. all Im saying is I loved this car it was my favorite car to drive, but today its useless. I wish that were not the case. As for the car leaving a bad taste in your mouth, what do you expect when you race in the beginners race.

Right. Taking the engine of a bigger car (335i) and stuffing it into a smaller chassis is, without a doubt, a marketing scheme to attract female buyers. Not to mention the fact the car only comes with atomatic transmission, or that all the BMW performance parts are stickers of flowers and pink seat covers. You won't get sports suspension, blacked out trim, BB kits, racing stripes, CAI, throaty axle back exhaust, steering wheel with shift lights and chronometer, Recaro racing seats, etc. Nope you won't see this stuff from BMW, for the 135i.
 
The reviews of the "real" 135i suggest that the handling of the car in game is rather accurate. It aint the best chassis in the world unfortunately... far from it.
All that torque in such a short wheel base and you cannot help but have a handful of a car.

However the big picture here, incase you have not seen it, is that PD are changing the tracks and the restrictions on a regular basis.
This forces a change of car, and a change of setup.

This game would be so boring if there was a) no restrictions and b) no changes.
Everyone would eventually work out which car was the most competetive for a track and then all other cars would be left untouched... just look back to the first set of races where they was nothing but Tuned Elises and Clio's.

The tracks will continue to change as will the restrictions and each time it does, some cars will benefit and some wont..
