I want to buy a new wheel and im looking for something like:

-Logitech Driving force GT
-Fanatec Porsche 911 Carrera Wheel
-Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 Force Feedback Racing Wheel
-¿Do you think that i can found a second hand G25/g27 or high fantec for about 160 Euros /200 Dollars?

Which one do you think is better?
I prefer the fanatec but i read that is very 'soft'. What do you think?

Thanx for all guys!!! ;)

I'd recommend the DFGT if you're buying new, I have one and its an excellent wheel for the money. Stay away from the F430 wheel though, I heard they're really crappy...

Where did you read this bout Fanatec's being soft?

Once again I am just gonna post ISR's guide. They seem like a good source for this sort of thing

Thanx for the video i watched it 3 times because im bit bad with my english, can you tell me what they say about dfgt and fanatec 911 carrera. Which one would you choose? I discarded the F430 because i want it to play on gt5 and if i dont heard bad they say that it isn't well supported.

-Fanatec carrera on min 12:00
-DFGT on min 7:30

Thanx for all!!!!

I don't like the wobble issue that the DFGT suffers with GT5 (you let go of wheel on a perfectly flat road it flies off to left/right). I would go with that Fanatec gt3rs + standard pedals if you could stretch that budget out just a tiny bit. This way later you upgrade to load cells (Clubsports). Plus the wheel has an adjustable deadzone so you can tweak it so you let go of the wheel to remain straight

I'd hold off on the shifter altogether. So what is that bout $230 versus $160 for that Carrera?

Anyway if you stick with Carrera you can at least still upgrade to Clubsports I believe so ya I'd go with the Fanatecs. Those wheels should be in stock so you should be ok when ordering them

yes, its a good choice the gt3rs+standard pedals but is twice as expensive than the dfgt or f430...

DFGT is a great wheel for the price, you won't be disappointed with it. Feedback is way above anything else in the range.

I had it but it broke down. Now i dont know if buy it another time or spend a few more to buy the fanatec carrera or a second hand logitech (g25/g27) or fanatec (gt2 /gt3)

I can't speak about Fanatec, they seem to make great products, especially the Club Sport Pedals, but they cost way too much in Australia to really compete.

However I've written up my thoughts on the G27 in some detail here, hope it is useful to you.

Good luck, I don't think you will be disappointed with any of the wheels on your list.

I'd prefer NOT to buy 2nd hand wheels, because who knows, it's OK, or has some problems...
Fanatec wheels has lotsa different stuff (like LED screen), gearbox not too close to the wheel. If you don't need it - buy DFGT. If these things may be useful for you - buy 911 Carrera wheel.

Can i install a homemade handbrake on the fanatec? How?
Is so bad the fanatec table camp? (i read it) Can i use it without the expensive option that they sell?

I will decide this week, now i think that the best option is the carrera unless i find a good second hand offer.

Thanx

Thanx guys for all!!
I have already decided!!!!!

Finally I bought a NEW Logitech G27 for 180Euros!!! A shop is selling lots of them for that price because the packing is damage.

I was going to buy the fanatec carrera but finally i saw this offer and i couldn't refuse!!!

Have the g27 any regular problems???

Gratz on your purchase have fun 👍

Only problem I know of is that GT5 won't allow you to remap the buttons for G27 wheels. much complaining about that around these forums

mmmm.... so.... How can i navigate around the menus? And look back??? And use the triangle for the clutch??

thanx!!!

Hi guys I'm thinking about getting either a DFGT or Porsche Carrera Fanatec but I dont wanna spend the extra $50 for the Porsche, but I heard the Porsche has no dead zone and saw it has a real gearbox but the dfgt has just a click forward and back shifter, and is the Porsche shifter an extra $ option? And do you need a special mount/table for dfgt or Porsche carrera fanatec?

For that price you can't go wrong, congrats on the outstanding score! I just bought a Fanatec GT3 V2 clubsport package and purchased their shifter set separately. I honestly like the G27's shifter setup more than the Fanatec's but I'm hoping that whenever Fanatec finally gets around to releasing their clubsport shifter it'll be amazing. The good thing is that if you really end up liking the G27 you can upgrade to the Fanatec clubsport pedals without having to buy a new wheel. You could get the best of both worlds.

if your DFGT is broken -> contact Logitech customer service. they are pretty good at giving replacements ;) also i think from time to time logitech do trade in programs, like give them an old logitech mouse and they knock off £50 on your purchase. not sure if they do it now but worth checking it out on their website
