Points in Manufacturers cup

Hi all
I am a total noob on GT sport mode. I entered the manufacturers cup. First round, no problem. But the second round driven yesterday is not considered as valid. What do they mean with "valid session" ? All points earned are not added. Any explaination ?

After the full 9 rounds your top 3 scores will count. At this point of the season only your highest scoring round counts. If, after 9 rounds, your round 2 score is one of your 3 highest, it will count. At some point in the season, possibly after 3 rounds, your 2 highest scores will count.

Another question...
Round 1 I took the 8th place and got 6 points. Round 2 I finished third of my session and got only 4 points. Is there any global ranking on all sessions ?
