The rally isn't sponsored by the actual Gumball crew, its just a bunch of friends doing it for the hell of it. Kinda like a big long road trip with speed.

WhOa there fella... it's cool, don't get all worked up in defending your friends wannabe ricer car.

Wanna be rice car . You're an idiot .

A car isn't rice until you do what is shown on the Questionable Mods thread. And the more correct term would be "domestic rice" since it's a Cobalt.

On MTV they had a episode of True Life where they covered a rally, I think it was the AK(?) Rally. It was funny watchin the Audi team trying to get the scanner to work in the beginning of the show. The 2 females in the M3 owned the event and the trio in the RSX were behind the whole time, I don't think they were really prepared. When I get the funds and the ride hooked up right I'll try to get into one.

Since when are "sports compacts" with performance mods the rice cars...?

Sounds like you're gonna have a lot of fun, BX. Good luck on your "not-a-race..." ;)

Well I am going to take my truck, hopefully there will be some preformance upgrades to it by then. Also we are stopping at a drag strip on the other side of the state, I'm curious what the truck will run now that I'm a better driver.

Is your truck an auto or a manual?? If it's an automatic, I can't see a whole lot of improvement to be made unless you backed off.

It's an auto, its really rare to find a 5-speed Blazer.

Interestingly enough my neighbor's daughter has a 2 door Blazer for sale. It's black, and a Manual trans., but also 4 wheel drive (I think... It's got the bigger wheels/tires on it and has the stance for a 4wd truck).

Similar year to yours, I haven't had a close look at it to see the condition, but what do you think it would bring?

Depending on the year and the miles...but mine with 32K miles, no options, 2WD and slight B-pillar damage would fetch about 12 grand. Blazers don't hold their value very well.

As much as I hate automatic transmissions, with trucks/SUVs, there's no point in having a manual if you're planning on doing hard off-roading. Having to shift gears kills momentum.

This is the one I'm looking at, but my question is will it act as a CB or is that something different? I kinda suck at the whole radio thing, someone must know.

But...
This is what I'm looking at

Bought one tonight, Radio Shack 1000 Channel one. It was $120 buck on sale so it wasn't to bad. Pretty cool, played with it tonight and got my local police deparment, fire department, and even some air traffic. Very fun to mess around with.

Bought these today off of eBay

Hand helded CB radios.

Scanner was 120 and works awesome, the best part is that I can avoid accidents. I haven't got the CB's yet since I got them off eBay but for the pair they were 50 bucks.
