As the title says.

Was thinking that since the Karts originally didn't have headlights and PD decided to add them, why not give the same treatment to the FGT?

Would allow for:
-Night racing at the 'Ring
-Completing the Le Mans/24hrs of Nurburgring with a fast car that is not the X2010/X2011
-Possibility at a premium F1 car that can compete on its own (maybe make a series of them like in GT3?)

Of course, this probably wouldn't happen until major updates are done or could be added as a DLC pack (PD F1 DLC pack?).

Edit: This is more a fun idea sort of thing. PD with Karts, why not with a blind F1 car? AKA: Just think how useful instead of unrealistic it is - like, again, what PD did with the Karts.

If you create the car with lights its not going to be an F1 car.

So does that mean a Go-Kart with headlights is not a Go-Kart? Racing the 'Ring at night in an F1 car would be fun, but due to the lack of on-track lighting, it's impossible unless you flip on the driving line. Doing so for the Nurburgring/La Sarth 24hrs would burn a blue line into your eyes :yuck:.

Seems like most of GTP never understands fun sometimes.

A go kart with lights is still a go kart but an F1 car (or FGT) isnt. Its hard to explain why but I totally agree with Blitz24, its totally against being the perfect racing machine somehow.

Then don't use the FGT?💡

That's Awesome!

I think there would be less of a chance Hamilton might want to bump Massa if he loses his sight.

That video is funny.

But no, you can't put lights on a FGT. If you do, it is no longer a Formula car. Formula 1 cars don't run in the dark (the night race at Singapore is on a lit track).

Heck, if they can put a vehicle like the X2010 in the game why not make an expiremental F1 car with a headlight?

Having said that, I believe there are more important cars and tracks that should be added to the game first.

Because the X2010 IS the experimental F1.

The reason there's no headlights on F1 cars (and the YouTube link proves it) is that they look stupid lol

In reponse to your first statement, the X2010 IS NOT the expiremental F1. F1 cars are open wheel vehicles, the X2010 is closed wheel.

To your second statement, the headlight or headlights could be integrated into an F1 car better than the video shows. The video was just a joke.

That's right. No lights on the FGT. You have 1000+ other cars to enjoy the ring with.

The FGT is the experimental f1 lol read the description ;-;

I don't see why they couldn't just put one in the nose cone area and cover it with something that lets it keep with the shape-then again, i'm not adrian newey :guilty:

For starters, the FGT is an F1 car that simply doesn't conform to any current (or possibly past) F1 regulations. However, this car probably would have different components meeting F1 standards from different regulation years.

The reason is simple: Why should F1 invest in a system that serves little benefit in current conditions (and likely the near foreseeable future)?

ROFL

as if the FGT is a pure F1 car...

lights on the FGT makes sense to me because IMO its a stupid bastardized unrealistic F1 car as it is

probably the worst poll ive seen on gtp, No PD should not add lights to a FGT or other

Never heard such crap, Headlights on a Formula 1 car. PMSL

Which post did you read my simple friend? I didnt say anything was a pure F1 car.
Your claim that it is unrealistic amuses me too, well spotted 👍 (because its not real duh)
You should lay off the sunny delight :dunce:

Quite simply F1 cars were never designed to be night racers, and it should stay that way.

Ferrari F60 whit bixenon brrrrr

I think there would be less of a chance Hamilton might want to bump Massa if Massa stays outta his way.

fixed.

McLaren released the vid just before F1's first night race. Good stuff.

Indeed, everything would be great if everyone just pulled over and parked GT5 AI-style for Hamilton when they saw him coming.

I had nearly forgotten that video, hilarious and very well done.

How many open wheel race car series do you have lights on cars?
