Let me start off with this, I HATE BAD RACE HOSTS.
What I mean by that is hosts that: kick you for doing good, hits you all the time and kicks you if you complain, lets the noobs run wild with driver aids, kicks you for not being able to let him/her pass, is an immature child, kicks you for no reason, trash talks, putting in titles like( NO X1 ) and then deliberately uses the prohibited car, becomes the new host and completely destroys the regulations of the original host, can't keep his own lobby in control etc. etc.

Submit your own bad host examples at the bottom and vote at the top.

That's why I always create my own room, I can't stand other people in control.

I run into bad hosts all the time that don't even care to follow their own rules. For instance I was in a lobby the other day and the title clearly had "clean" stated in it, yet the host and the rest of the lobby were racing dirty. This lobby also did not have the host migration thing on so he was the original host that started the room which makes it even worse. 👎

It seems to me if I put in the search bar "Skid Recovery Force: Off" I get better hosts. I'm in one right now, very clean races.

I don't even bother joining rooms that claim to be "clean" anymore, rather starting my own to guarantee one. 👍

When people kick you because you beat them by a ton... It's like lol just learn to drive and set up your car, like last night I was in a 500PP room at Cote d'Azur, so I ran my Lotus Elise 111R that's tuned for 500PP, the host when everyone was in the room put the PP upto 600 and started the race, so everyone was either in 500PP cars or not in the race and he was using a Ferrari; I smoked him by 8 seconds over 3 laps, I switched to my fully modified 111R and did another race where he used a JGTC and I won again by about the same, kicked me saying I was cheating... Lol. Makes me laugh when people kick you for being better than them.

Sometimes they do...I usually just leave the room after getting punted off the track at the first corner.

After this I usually narrow down my search to find better lobbies.

1 in 10 rooms have a good host in my opinion.

Most of the time its some 10 year old who is always crashing into me with his x2010 even though the title says (NO X2010) lol

Are morons pleasant? No, not really. Is it a big problem? No, not really.

Step 1: Join room.
Step 2: Find out host is an idiot.
Step 3: Leave room.
Step 4: Join new room.
Step 5: Find out host is cool.
Step 6: Notice that the sun is coming up and you have to be to work in three hours.

It's not worth the time or effort to worry about the jerks.

One thing you could do is look at the host. If they're rockin' a GTP tag you know they're gonna be clean and race fair.

I despise bad hosts, or stuck up ones at that. I join a NASCAR at indy race, and it says the usual "Clean no BS or kick" so i said to myself, ok its worth a shot, im a pretty clean driver. I enter the lobby, 3 ppl are sitting in the pits, and at least 10 ppl are tuning their cars, so i thought i might jump onto the track and do a few laps. I get onto the track, exiting the pits, and in the text box I see everyone saying "JasonMann is on the track" and the host is like "GTFO" and then kicks me straight away, not even giving me a warning. I was pissed, how can you host a lobby and not tell new joiners that they cant go on the track? Jeez.

That's not even close to true. I wish it was, but I have some across lots of "GTP" tag players who do not know what they're doing.

I've seen my share of bad hosts in my early days of GT5. Fortunately I have found a lot of cool people and we regularly race in each others rooms for whatever series is running at that time and we always know what to expect every time 👍

I was in a no-SRF Shuffle lobby titled 'Clean Shuffle Racing No Boost'.

The host changes, the new one makes the following changes:

Turns Penalties to off, turns SRF on
Changes to normal race, car locked to Elise 111R
Tyre restrictions set to none
Turns Boost to high
Changes track to Suzuka without vote
Changes start sequence to fastest first and no brake check/penalty on start

Basically, he turned the room on it's head to cater to his own preferences.

I hate people who hijack lobbies like that. People who take control of free run lobbies just turn it into a racing lobby and that's just ridiculous. Once I'd even seen a clean racing lobby turned into a glitch lobby on the Nurburgring. Stupid and unneeded really.

For quite a while it seemed that everytime I found a lobby I wanted to race in, the cars being raced or tracks used were switched as soon as I joined in.

I get that folks want a bit of variety - but mostly these (I was looking mostly for rally) were populated by only three or four racers just larking around, so the end result bore no resemblance to the room description.

I hate that too. I joined a SuperGT lobby, the track was set to La Sarthe so I lowered downforce and adjusted the gear ratios accordingly. Then they changed to Nurburgring GP/F  More than half the people in the lobby were on track practicing so I assumed the race was going ahead on that track.

So in your opinion, hosts should be expected to not change tracks once new members arrive?

I hate it when I join an empty lobby and the host says something along the lines of, "Hey, wanna do a quick race before more people join?" and I say, "Yeah, sure." And when he goes off on the first corner and I proceed to stretch out a huge lead and he proceeds to leave. Then it's me all alone, in his room.

Ugh.

I've only been playing online for a month, but over the course of the past week i've joined lobbies with some really annoying hosts. Once I was doing gymkhana and I hit the host on accident. Then he told me to try to hit him again. I told him I hate people who ram and that it was an accident, he was obviously going to pause so I'd go through him. Someone else hit the host, then I pulled the E-Brake to park next to him, but I tapped his car by accident and I got kicked :ouch:. Another room titled: DRIFT was the first drift room I had found, so I entered and quickly discovered that the room had been hijacked by a bunch of 8-10 year-olds playing tag with an X1. I continued to practice drifting despite the annoyance of their voices. When I was on a streak, a kid rammed me with an X1, I told them that I was drifting like the title of the lobby implied. One of the kids who couldn't have been older than 11 told me to " Get the 🤬 out if you aren't 🤬 playing you 🤬 🤬" So even though I've met a lot of cool people playing online, I've met my fair share of annoying hosts.

Swearing and shouting annoys me... D:

oh my god, i went into a wangan room and its just a bunch of swearing teens and a 12 yr old who hasnt even grown a manly voice just using 1000 horsepower vipers, needlesss to say, i hate those wangan rooms

I hate 2 kinds of hosts:

1.The kind that aren't even there; they leave their ps3 on and nobody before bothered to kick them. We have to take 5-10 minutes to persuade everyone to kick the guy out.

2.The kind that troll people into fights. Ok, this is actually pretty funny(not the ones who cause fights) but i've seen a few hosts provoke everyone else into glitching the track, whether it be tgtt, or daytona, or nurburgring. Heck, i've even seen le sarthe done once.

Normally I lmao infront of my TV ;) But I voted for "Yes they...".

Two days ago I joined a Shuffle-Race at 24h-Nürb. The Race was going and almost at Döttinger-Höhe => almost over.
Host says via mic:" Man this is too long, i´ll do some changes"
=> I wrote: Maybe the track is to long for Shuffeling, but I do like this Track allot.
=> He says:" If you don´t like it leave (plus an insult). And maybe I get pmed with hate-mail." and kicks me.

Wow was my thought :D (Everything was in German and the Host sounded like mid 30 O_o)

Okay, 2 weeks after this post was made, I'm so mad! I've been to a lobby where it said "COPS 75mph/2way/noX1" Well, guess what? No regulations, 5/16 people were X1s. Some guy was there for 4 hours and said that it was originally a good cop lobby but then some 10-13 year old idiot ahead of him became host and completely took away all regulations and went to Circuit de la Sarthe to turn it into an X1/Gayron/drag lobby. The host saw him post that, and... he got kicked. I then said, "Can we go back to cops now?" And he just posted some random excuses and said no. So I decided to do what the title said, 75mph driving in the straight, he was in his Veyron doing 250mph when he hit me and told me "**** you kid! Get outta the way!" (he said something like that but his grammar sucked) So I said, "Doing 75mph, officer." Then he went and kicked me. Seriously, if you want to screw up someone else's lobby, make your own and leave. Or ask first because every original person in the lobby left because they wanted cops but that idiot wanted drags. DEAR DRAG RACERS, STAY OUT OF COP LOBBIES, WE DON'T NEED YOU.
