I haven't posted much here since the release of GT5 due to obviously reasons. In a nutshell I felt let down of the day one release that I took vacation days for. I am not going to go into further detail because the issues have been posted numerous times.

I would consider myself a GT fan nevertheless. I have owned GT1,GT2,GT3,GT4,GT Prologue, and GT5. GT4 by far is my favorite. Deep offline mode in which I never could complete the entire game. I am a causal gamer for I am far from a great GT racer but I love the franchise.

PD can not satisfy us all but they should cater to the demand for the franchise. I am a career mode/offline guy. That is how GT got its fam and that's why I kept coming back. In today's gaming world everything is turning to online gaming. I don't have a major issue with that but in some ways, they neglect those that prefer to play games offline.

Now I understand the reason for GT6 coming to the PS3 initially over the PS4. There are way more PS3's on the market and more to be bought. I don't have a problem with that. The problem I have is the direction taken from GT4. With that said, I just want to know what are your intentions for GT6 and beyond. Do you feel the GT series is catering to your wishes. To start off the poll, as I mentioned I am a career mode guy so I will probably fit in the 0-10% online / 90-100% offline category.

In the first months maybe 50/50 or 70/30 (off/online). But as the time goes by and all the offline stuff is done, I will turn 10/90. The 10% being photomode.

But I'm not sure...maybe the course maker will keep me more in offline.

I voted 50/50 as I'll be racing a-spec & tuning & buying cars offline & then racing my creations online with my racing friends.

25% Online, 75% Offline
based on the disappointments I had on GT5, too much disconnection, laginess.. slow loadings, hit from behind!!! etc..
so 25% is more than enough for me on GT6.

I play very little online with GT maybe once a week with some friends.
Tried an open lobby once or twice an that is when I decided to just do closed lobbies with friends.

Offline I played GT5 every days for two years.

Good responses everyone. Keep it coming. I see I am not the only one more concerned about offline career mode. The way things were looking in other threads, more appeared to lean towards online. Friends only lobbies is probably were the online would be positive. Outside of that it could be frustrating. For me there are some great racers online in which I can't compete with. I pretty much never play any games online either but once in awhile I may give it a shot. The feature is nice to have though.

At first it will be close to 50/50 but once I've got some money rolliing I'll be spending most of my time online drifting with my team. I just need a good drift build, and I won't have to complete the game to do that.

I may decide to complete single player at some point but not straight away by any means.

Once course maker comes out it will be that + online for me.

It depends on the quality of the offline mode. If there is no challenge or new events then I would predominantly play online, should I buy the game.

75% offline, 25% online. In the first months it'll be 100% offline unless there are some online events that will be taking place - does that count as online? I won't really go public until I've completed at least half of the career, and have a great grasp of the new physics.

I'm all about the career/offline anyway. Online is second.

I honestly don't see myself playing online until I did everything the career mode has to offer first.

As far as I can tell, online only works when playing for lengthy periods of time. I tend to play fairly frequently - but for short periods of time.

Technically online is online. But for me, I consider online is when you race others around the world that you don't know. Seasonal events to me is an extension to career mode to earn extra money. Kind of like dynamic racing events. Although friends/club lobbies are used to weed thru untrusting drivers its still pretty much online for sure.

Looks like most of us will be at least 75% offline. I don't understand why career mode lacked so much in GT5. Honestly I think they had good intentions. This was the first real go at online in the GT series. But if they see where most racers play, they should cater to that fan base or include a GT online disk as a two disk package.

Probably 90% offline.

I love testing/hot lapping my cars on the worlds greatest circuits.

Probably no more than 10% online. GT for me is all about the tuning and driving.

Most of my time is spent offline. I usually only play the online mode for small periods of time when I'm bored. Getting rammed on every turn does get agitating after 20 minutes.

100% Offline for the first year or so. After that, maybe around 5% Online - 95% Offline.

All of this ^ ^ ^ ^

Glad to see that I am not in the minority and others share a similar view point, I was starting to feel like I was one of the "oddballs" that don't go online for whatever the reason may be.

Hot lapping and improving technique is where it's at for me and doing it on my agenda

Wouldn't it be impossible to play GT6 100% online? I mean you wouldn't have any money or anything to race with if that were the case. So I'd imagine a sufficient amount of time would have to be spent offline.

Same here. Although I have to mention that during those rare times I play online, only one out of five times I will actually play. I usually get bored just searching for a room and go back doing hot laps, playing on Arcade mode or simply taking pictures of my cars.

awesome poll is freaking awesome

(and the votes are being cast by a bunch of blokes who are "online" haha)

The offline portion of GT is utter garbage. Get a great group of friends to race with online and you'll understand this.

I have no idea how online works. I don't use it. So being able to do it 100% is more of a category for one that rarely plays offline. I would assume its arcade style online though so that you don't need to use offline credits to race online. Or there could be an online career mode. Either way, I am not interested in online. My eyes are fixated on offline career mode gameplay.

i selected 0-10 because i will likely go on once or twice and thus there is a statistical value higher than 0. even though the true percentage will be minuscule because i have over 500 hours in gt5 and expect far more in gt6.

if it's like gt5, you use your own cars and the races dont pay. thus, you need to play offline to get decent cars.

That's my goal, carving out my own Online Career without ever touching Aspec, Licenses, Special Events etc. I also don't want to do Seasonals (I didn't do most of them in GT5 anyway) and only do the TT's I'm really interested in. The Pre-Order package should give me enough of a head start that this will work for me.

Well with GT5 you had to do the A-Spec and special events to earn credits and buy your cars to race online. (This was before the seasonal events were implemented)

Interesting goal, I'm sure that pre-order pack will come in real handy.
