It was great in GT4 that whatever car you bought was added to the available stock cars list in Arcade mode & I want PD to bring this user friendly & common sense feature back to GT5.

So, in GT5 everytime you buy a car it is added as stock (ie: un-tunable) to the Recommended cars list online & in Arcade mode too. This will liven up online racing, time trials & general arcade fun. There should be seperate lists for Premium & Standard cars aswell in both modes.

Any additional opinions, please post them below.

I don't see why it should be added to the recommended list. You could just choose it from your garage instead?

I think the effort would be better spent in doing away with the stupid separate premium and standard lists, create a car list with all the cars, and then let you use that everywhere.

2 simple tickboxes:

> host chooses car (from his garage)
> force stock-car settings (including stock tires)

If you don't have that car, you can't enter the room - and if you enter the room all parts are automatically removed from the car.

That feature is on my #1 spot from the release of the game, and I agree it would dramatically improve online.

This "stock mode" would be a great addition to online lobbies so you could have one-model stock races with any cars you'd like, but why shouldn't you be able to join the lobby if don't have the car in your garage? All the data required is already on the disc so I see no point in denying entry for someone who doesn't have the car that is being used. Most people don't even own half the cars in the recommended list.

Exactly, it would be great if there was an object to skip buying the cars in the first place.

You're right, that would be much better.

Stock cars then, host chooses the car with 100% stock settings 👍

That's my point, to be able to have stock car races online in every car. Whether it's done via the Recommended list as I suggested of otherwise is immaterial really, as long as we get the ability to do it.

👍

It would be even better if the host could enable/disable every tuning component to & choose to input settings & lock them, that would certainly liven up the online racing.

:D

This is another perfect example of how PD haven't made the most of what they've got, we got so much in the way of cars & tracks but so little in the way of online & offline event options.

Yes, being able to choose what parts are allowed would be excellent.

Why the settings though? That is up to the driver. If you're worried about someone out tuning you, limit the suspension to sports kit.

All I reallly want is for the host of an online lobby to be able to select a group of cars from his home garage as the ones people can choose from.

This way, the host can easily set up a Le Mans or JGTC room without having to worry whether random people joining the room will have a car that fits the regs.

Why the settings though?

So we can do same car/same tune races of course! It would be nice to get a kick ass tune from a tuning shop on here & set it in stone, just another possible option to make running different online events a possibility.

Petitions don´t work!

Unfortunately you're right, what can I say except that I had an unusual attack of optimism!

Thanks Bunker, I forgot I even ran this poll.

Online definitely needs expanding in more ways than one, I just hope they don't start taking more features away, like they did with the ability we used to have of running PP & BHP/Weight restrictions at the same time.

It would also be a good idea to have a box to tick that would disable the use of RA Functions.
