One day when I have a ton of money to blow I'll buy a bone stock car, maybe something flimsy like a convertible or an older car with less advanced chassis construction and try it back to back to see if there is a change in feel and lap time.
I have a feeling that that's just going to be a ridiculously expensive strut bar that won't do a whole lot for your car.
Every car I buy gets Rigidity Improvement. Idk if it works, idc either, to be honest. It's a little bit just the feeling to have it lol. And since I spend about 200.000 (all the stuff) on every car I'm tuning, it doesn't make a big difference.
I purchased one yesterday for my drift car. I could tell a noticable difference in body roll, and overall tightness of the car. It also made the car respond much faster to turning.
In every CAR yes, in a formula one or something, then NO, I try to drift every CAR I can, just for the fun of it, trying to master the control of the car, I hope it's not 20,000 Cr's wasted though....
Voted "no". Many slower cars that I like to drive won't need an RI service to succeed, plus I kinda like the way some of these cars handle before the service is done. I only buy this if I've got a lot of credits to blow.
I buy it for every car now. When I started doing seasonal events I was having a bitch of a time with the Honda CRz seasonal event. I couldnt even come close to winning that. Since you couldnt do any power tunes, I had to try everything else. I put every mod except rigidity and noticed a small improvement. Tried again after spending the 20k on it and went from coming in 6th or less to 1st in one try. Fluke, perhaps, but it helped.
When I get a new car I run them all on High Speed Ring reverse. I had a bitch of a time driving the SLS, then I added the rigidity and things just fell in line.
Things I do on every car:
1.) Change the oil - Cheap HP
2.) Racing Air Filter - Best HP for $ ratio
3.) Rigidity Bar - Body roll is annoying
4.) Every tire set - Never know what you'll want/need to run
5.) Brake Balance - 50/50? Seriously? LOL!
Up till now i didn't by the RI and now I'm a bit scared that I can't drive my old cars anymore if i add the RI on them... but without the RI my cars feel so "incomplete"... if you know what i mean.
In GT4 all the rigidity upgrades did was increase understeer, I've never used this on GT5 although i might try on my Zonda R (If i can) that things out of control
