I find the lack of road cars...disturbing...

I think part of the reason why it's called The Green Hell, it's because it is a greasy public road open to any car enthusiast. There doesn't seem to be an entry reflecting this atmosphere of the track.

The way the theme was presented, it was assumed that we were to use race cars.

Considering it was a race car driver that first coined the nickname (after a race no less), race cars seem very appropriate.
