So I just tried to posted a poll in the GT5 forum. I asked which would bring more satisfaction to GT gamers over the years of GT5 racing: weather, damage or day/night cycles. I gave my thoughts on it in the message section, then was prompted to enter the poll info. Once I entered the question and possible answers, I tried to post it only to find that the thread had somehow already been closed.

It looks like my thread was opened, with only my thoughts and without the poll. Thus a mod closed the thread, and rightly so, before I had finished the poll info. Nobody should care what I think about it; the point was to find out what everyone, on the whole, thought about it.

So now there's this pointless, embarrassing thread making me look like an idiot.

Poll threads should only be posted once the poll is completed! Thanks.

The thread always appears before the poll is completed. I suppose that's a "feature" of vBulletin. Not sure what, if anything, can be done about it.

As daan noted, that's just the way the forum software functions (presumably because you can add a poll to a thread at any time - you're just doing it immediately after you created it if you check that option). It would, of course, take a significant amount of work to change this functionality.
