Did my PM help you?

This thread will probably get locked because there's been a discussion already. The last four threads asking the same question were locked.

Any one of them on the hardest tyres, T2s, will walk it, but the Zonda will be your best bet.

Sheesh... I tried the Zonda stock from the dealer, and it absolutely waltzed the competition.

Leroi, after noting that you've had alot of trouble recently with this game, can I suggest a few things to help out?

I'm guessing that if you are having trouble winning, it's mainly due to experience. One of the biggest improvements you can make, is braking earlier than you think you need to. Did you pass the license tests, or did someone else do them? Take a moment and return to them and the time trials. As you get better at those, the enjoyment factor of GT3 goes up.

Good luck, and if you're open to suggestions, keep coming back.

[done tests my self and its the last race i have got to do i have been a gt fan since GT1 and i still play it to but this one race keeps bugging me but i still enjoy the game more than any other game

Use the Toyota GT1 Road Car and win with a laugh.

If your foot isn't on the floor you ain't going fast enough
Maybe that's your problem. You do have to brake every now and then.

Any one of the Japanese "276bhp" brigade will win it (Skyline, RX7, NSX etc). Tuscan, Esprit, Jag XJ220, Any Ruf, R390 road car will give you an easy win. Stick them on T2s and don't pit.

cheers i did not think of using the R390 i know the lm version kicks ass

Same here - all I fitted were T2 or 3 (cant remember which) and drove it around. I didnt even have a remotely good set-up on it... but it was good fun :sly:

i agree it is a crazy car to drive and i cant wait to finish work and race that car coz i have forgotten how much fun it is side ways all the way

The Zonda I used was stock from the dealer. No oil change, no new tires. "Strait out of the box" ;)

I also tried the Jag XJ220 figuring that it would be a boat and slower than the Zonda. It was slower, but it went 7 full laps on stock tires before needing to pit. And by then I was 1'24+ out in front.

Der Alta how come other threads with this question were locked and this one not? I know the other are old but they answer the question.

*raises hand in the air*

Integra, Elise 190, Tommy kaira ZZ-S, VX220

*zips fly back up*

leroi - Are you aware that you can change the tyres on your vehicle? The PD Cup allows this, although no other modifications are permitted. Change to some race tyres.

Also, the R390LM isn't allowed in - it's a race car - and the R390 Road Version isn't very good, comparatively. It's enough to win, certainly, but the Zonda should be seeing you home clear anyway.

The others were more along the lines of "Hey recommend me a car to win (lap multiple times) the PD cup." Leroi came up with "Hey I've tried this car, this car, this car and this car, but still can't win. Can someone tell me a good car to try and what I could do better?"

If one shows effort on their part, it's rewarded highly here at GTP.

Sorry, Ron Jeremy already registered here.

I'll only give you points for the Integra, as even I did it in the TK ZZ-S :D

Seriously Famine'd be more than happy give anyone a chance for second place when racing him. :)

Right! I'll keep that in mind.

thanks for all the help guys i done it last night with the speed 12 bloody insane and really hard but imence fun my fave championship buy far now

So, you used the speed12 which is the pig of all time when you could have used the toyota gt1  ur crazy man!

ahhh no way i never liked the GT1 the turbo lag is ridiclus (i am naff at spelling) plus the breaks are as good as a F1 car with plastic breaks

I used TVR speed 12 with hardest tyres and I won with no problems...

FWIW - I OWNDED The PD Cup in a Speed 6...

Quallified with: Front/Softs Rear/Medium-Softs
Raced with: Front/Slicks Rear/Super-Slicks

Always managed to lap somebody, and on a couple races lapped everybody. Won every race.

Sure - you can use the Road Car or some other high-powered car and trash the competition, I wanted a bit more of a challenge...

The point being - A Speed 6 will do the trick, so anything faster than that should do it as well...
