Well, I went on my first testing run for the Polyphony Digital Cup this arvo, and I must say, both cars are looking mighty impressive. Early testing indicates that:
  • The NSX is light, speedy and turns on a dime, and,
  • The R390 is showing tremendous speed through the course.
It's an equally impressive ballgame, but I'm leaning thus far toward the R390 - although it takes some coaxing to turn, it has far greater speed throught he straights than the NSX.

Further testing on Friday will determine more, as I plan to put tyres to the test. Perhaps this will tip the scales closer in the favour of the NSX.

This may come down to driving style. I agree with what Ving said about Cote. The R390 can be a handful but recently I have preferred cars like that.

Why don't you just use the GT-One...if you want to use a car that would blitz the opposition...I mean, there's no point going for a medium victory...it should be either very close or really far apart...

Yeh...it would be a hopeless effort...an RX7 might be a good choice! 👍

Yeah, they're fun to tune, but these cars are hard to turn.

The RX-7 is more of an admirable attempt than the NSX or the R390.

Give it a try in a Skyline or a Subaru Legacy. Something that might be a challenge.

The R390, NSX will make the race too easy, if you are really looking for a challenge use the S2000. I have only won/tried one race with this car that was GVS 2 in the PD cup it was the most stressful race I have ever done in GT3. The NSX type Zero was consistently running 2 seconds faster than me per lap but I could keep up cus it would pit more often then me. Anyway with 5 laps to go it was 10 seconds behind and gaining fast. On the final lap it was at my rear bumper the whole lap, and way I knew if I made a single mistake it would pass me and I would not be able to catch up. Some how I ran lap that was 1.5 seconds faster than my previous best so that helped and I think the nsx was at the end of its tires life. I ended up winning by some fraction of a second. Anyways I find racing isn't fun unless there is a good the possibility of loosing. However, if you just want to win than use the R390 I think it goes much better than the NSX.

I vote that you use the RX-8.....thats what im doing and having an absolute blast.

My closest race was where I won by 3 seconds and the most split victory was by 25......but that was becasue the 350Z pitted on the last lap........

That is only if you want an extremely close championship......

Both the NSX and the R390 will kill the 350Z so i wouldn't do it in either.........(i cant talk....first time round i did it in the Zonda C12S....extremely quick stock car!!)

O rite I havent lost a race yet!
