i've been playing gt3 over the holidays and finished 89.6% but i want to to the polyphony digital cup but when i tried to enter with 1 of my polyphony cars it wouldn't let me. can any1 help me or tell me which car i can use?
thanx :)

Look in the series information, under Eligibility Rules.

Off the top of my head though, I think that championship is for standard street cars.

You have to use a street-legal (road) car without mods.

The best bets IMHO are (from best to worst):

Nissan R390 LM Road Car :cheeburga
Toyota GT-One Road Car 😈
Nismo GT-R LM Road Car :)
Shelby Cobra (Handling a bit frustrating but a cool challenge too)
NSX Type R
Camaro SS
Viper GTS-R Concept

The lower the list goes, the worse tyre durability kicks in as an adverse issue, owing to the heavy weight factor.

Anyhow, you will see that the AI cars pit as though they are running on tyres made of butter !!! (some every 3 laps or so !!!)

Exactly right Giles! It's for non modified cars only! You can't use any of the "Race" spec cars or any car that has mods made to them! The only modifications that you can make are the oil change and any type of tire that you want!

What about Viper GTS? I used that car and just totally owned the competition. The tire wear wasn't that bad on the car. I could go just about 16-19 laps before I'd have to pit if I remember correctly.

Theres been a few posts like this and a car that gets thrown around a lot is the TVR Speed 12, which IMO is probably the best for it. You can win in the Tuscan Challenge.

Finally someone that agrees with me.. :)
I'm not too sure about the handling though..I woudn't say "great handling" - but "OK handling"..

On the down side I have to say that the Digital cup might be a bit too easy if You use that car.. I like more of a challenge

Well, they ARE cool cars but the Jag (when I used the road car in another race unmoded) apted to wear tyres too quickly, especially the front tyres.

The GTS Viper unless you use TCS and ASR, simply does not want to stay on the track. It spins so much that you wear off your rear tyres in a hurry.

Japanese cars are much lighter compared to American muscle so I'd go for them instead. For example try the Grand Sports Chevy... I sometimes wonder why on earth they called that hulk "sports" in first place !!!

The Tuscan 12 Cerbera ? That helldog EATS tyres for the go !!!

If you can stand the annoying sound of the engine, try the Motorsport Elise. Tyre change is something you come accross at the 25th lap with super slicks !!! But THAT SOUND !!!
It pushes me to the edge of insanity !!! I HATE the Elise with every cell in my body !!!

Anyhow, that was the list of cars I used so it is not to be accredited more than my humble opinion. If you find it helpful, I'll take my share of the honor...

:D

Thats why I just left those the way they were and I did just fine. A couple times I almost spun out but was able to keep it under control.

I'm currently doing it... with a Lotus Esprit V8 SE... it works very great, with the super-slicks you can do the whole 20 laps without pitting. I like a bit of challenge, so i tend to use slower (if a Lotus can be called slow!) cars to finish this championship. It's at least the 10th time i do it!

Well I monstered the Trial Mountain enduro with a Vanquish, so I think I might have another go with that...

well i just finished it... won an F094 that i sold... Next time i do it, i'll choose between a Camaro SS or a 300ZX... i think the Camaro will be better... I also wanna try it with a WRX wagon... i try different cars, to see how good they are when stock...

Acutally I use that car and I never have to pit in the Polyphony Cup :) I use my speed 12 for all the normal events except Apricot enduro thats for Miatas only. Trail Mountain I did 89 laps pitted three times lap 23, 46, 69. NSX Type R's are good, they cost 100k or you can win it from the Type R races in Amatuer I think
