Hello everyone, Id like to propose a new racing series to all those interested in some fast, tight, competitive racing. I am a big F1 fan and look forward to starting an F1 style championship. Here are my ideas so far.
Car: Formula Gran Turismo
GT Auto: Oil change, engine rebuild, chassis refresh
Tuning: Suspension, Differential, Brake, and Transmission tuning allowed. NO OTHER TUNING ALLOWED
Tires: Racing Medium (or Racing Hard whichever would make it more competitive and challenging).
Tracks: Real world tracks used by F1 (currently or at some point)
Nuburgring GP/F
Fuji
Suzuka
Monza
Indy Road Course
Monaco
Points System
1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th : 6 points
8th : 4 points
9th : 2 points
10th : 1 point
11-14th: 0 points
Regulations: Heavy Damage, Realistic Grip, Start Fastest to Slowest
Penalties: Depending of the offence penalties can range from warning and starting at the back of the grid at the next race, to removal points and ban from the series.
Race Length: 1 Hour Race, 10 Minute Qualifying, 30 Minute Practice
Right now, I can hold races on Saturdays between 5-830 PST, but I may be able to move this depending on interest.
Thats what I have so far. I am looking to make this a fairly serious competition, and am looking for fairly serious drivers. As I know I am not the greatest driver I would be organizing and acting as race steward.
Please let me know if youre interested. Depending of the interest, I may hold a few qualifying events, or find some other way of working this out.
